  • Beautiful Case
Color: Charcoal Black TG Dark Style: North
This case is hands down one of the best cases I've worked with. Its nice to see case designers come up with designs that aren't so "gamer" and make something that is more along the lines of a piece of furniture. Working in the case itself is easy. Its very spacious and easy to disassemble and get to where you need to. Wire Management is easy to do and keep wires well organized. If you are going to do a front mounted radiator you do need to be mindful of your graphics card size. With a front radiator you can get a 380mm graphics card at most, and that's going to be a tight fit. The case is easy to keep clean, stays cool, and is stays surprisingly quite for the mesh front and top. I did go with a glass side, figuring that would keep noise down since I put the computer in my living room. ... show more

  • Stunning in every way!
Color: Charcoal Black TG Dark Style: North XL
This case is absolutely gorgeous. The walnut front is beautiful, the brass detailing is amazing, and it’s a pleasure to build in given its size. I recommend the XL over the standard version given the ever increasing size of GPU’s. Cable management is also a breeze allowing for clean runs and an almost cable less front end. Couple knocks against it: The thumbs screws are not good, the threading is pretty horrid on most of them requiring a screwdriver to unscrew them. I went ahead and replaced them with higher quality screws. The pre installed fans are a tad loud when you put load on them. Airflow is great and they perform well stock but those sensitive to sound might find it annoying. Best to tweak bios settings to find the best fan curve for you or replace with Noctua fans. Otherwise this case is amazing and looks great in almost any setting. If you want a case that is sleek, modern, understated but high quality, then this is the case for you. ... show more

  • Beautiful case - easy to build in
Color: Chalk White Style: North XL
This case is awesome. There were a lot of good design choices that made this a pleasure to build in. Cable management is very easy, even for those of us who don't like to put much effort into it. The case offered plenty of space for the new GPUs that are massive, and a good size cooler for the 9800x3d that I used. I definitely will be using Fractal Design again in the future. It's hard to beat the aesthetic as well! Great case! ... show more

  • Great, convenient case!
Color: Charcoal Black TG Dark Style: North XL
Tons of space and mounts for everything! The Hydroshift fit perfectly without touching the cpu power cables, (proof in picture). Plenty of airflow, fits a liable tl lcd140mm fan at the rear, and the aesthetic is unmatched. The psu mount on the back removes with 2 thumb screws so you can set it up, and insert the whole thing cables first, without having to reach in the case and hold it in place. Only thing I’d change about it is to make the panel next to the glass fit more smooth, and snug as it’s sticky to remove, but rattles a bit on the top right near the power button. ... show more

  • A pleasure to build in
Color: Charcoal Black TG Dark Style: North
I transplanted a mini-ITX build into this thing and now have so much room for activities! Been building in Fractals for about a decade now. Solid and well thought-out designs, plenty of options for mounting fans and radiators to, adequate cable management channel space/tietowns. The North is no exception - great to build in and looks good on a desk or an AV shelf. Cooling/noise-wise, the two stock fans up front are working perfectly fine in their default configuration. Even at their max speed, the noise is noticeable but tolerable. Only found that out because I plugged them into the AIO header on my board on accident rather than the PWM header. Oops! ... show more

  • Looks good, kinda flimsy
Color: Charcoal Black TG Dark Style: North
Pros: - Removable front panel feels nice and sturdy, wood looks good - Glass is thick enough to not be a concern - Understated design (compared to most PC cases), brass buttons + accents, subtle power light, fits in as a furniture piece - Lots of unobstructed airflow front to back, and through the top Cons: - Case was thin enough to flex from weight of parts. Side panel holds up the case structure; taking it off shows the case visibly sagging, and you have to force the side panel back in afterwards. - Feet bent slightly inward from thin metal and weight of components. I have no HDDs, only a standard psu, dual slot gpu, and an air cooler for "weight". The feet seem like they'll hold but it looks stupid with them bent inward like that - Installing gpu caused entire back to flex unnervingly. - Screws feel cheap, thin metal case means even carefully screwing parts in felt like I was stripping the threads. I honestly don't think it'll last more than a handful of times opening the side panel before the threads are completely worn In general, my biggest gripe with this case is that its premium look and feel is greatly let down by low construction quality. It's certainly not the flimsiest case I've used, and I know modern cases are often like this. It's just unfortunate that it's not a case that'll last, it looks so nice. If you don't plan on frequently opening up the case or rebuilding in it, I'm sure it'll be just fine. But if you're a tinkerer, I'm pretty sure the case will fall apart long before you're done with it. ... show more
