    • Turned water brown with lots of sediment in 3 days
This is my first try using Fox Farms. I usually prefer General Hydroponics. I measured out the correct amount for a five gallon food grade bucket. The liquid was a light green going in but within 3 days the water was a brownish shade with a lot of sediment at the bottom despite having an air stone going in the bucket. Is this from the worm castings? The smell was a little rough but I had a net cup lid on the bucket so I couldn't smell it otherwise. In the 10 days I used it I didn't notice much of a difference with my mini sweet pepper plant compared to using General Hydroponics. I understand ten days isn't a long time but I would have seen some progress with GH. Im not knocking Fox Farms, it just wasn't the right choice for me and it's a little pricey in my opinion. ... show more

This hydroponic solution is AMAZING! I had a basil plant sitting in plain water and was barely clinging to life. It was drooped over and dying. After one night with this solution, the basil plant's inner leaves have opened up and have put down a longer root! Aside from that, you get 48 entire gallons of solution to use! All you have to do is mix 2 teaspoons per gallon of water and there is no smell. Will buy it again! ... show more
