I love this cat tree. At first I was worried it would not be very stable because of its height but it is heavy and well designed. My cats can jump from it and it barely moves. I put this together myself. All the tools were included and the parts were very clearly labeled. It made assembly pretty easy. The mats are nice and I like how I can remove them for washing. It would also be easy to replace them in the future if needed. My cats have shown interest and find it comfortable and love the scratching pad. ... show more

    • Great tree with two issues

This is my second cat tree from FourFurPets. The first one (a smaller one) made such a good impression that when the time came to replace another old one I didn't hesitate to get this bad boy. Both trees impressed me with their aesthetic, quality parts, and easy to follow instructions. They really do look nice in my house. More like furniture than your typical fuzzy gray cat tree. So why only four stars? Two things: 1. The two plastic panels that form the front and back walls of the apartment at the bottom of the tree have pre-drilled holes that are misaligned with the wooden pieces they're supposed to attach to. If you have a power drill it should be easy to drill your own holes. It's not a huge thing, but something that should be corrected by FFP at some point. 2. The bigger issue. The first platform down from the top should come with some kind of stiffener. One-third of it is attached to the cross frame, and two-thirds of it is just cantilevered out into space. If you have smaller cats it should be fine. But I've got some bigger boys (14 and 17 pounds), and when they sit on the cantilevered portion of that platform you can see the bend in it. When they jump up from that platform to the top I'm worried it will crack or break entirely. If I were FFP I'd add a stiffener to this platform and the one below it (both platforms closest to the center of the X) just to be on the safe side. I'm going to screw some half round moulding or something to the bottom of these two platforms to stiffen them up. Besides these two issues it's a great tree. ... show more

This a very sturdy cat tree and its a little more stylish than most other cat trees. Yes it was a little more expensive, but it is very sturdy. Took a bit to put together but the instructions are very good and easy to understand! It is easier if you have a helper to put it together.

I’ve had this for a few months now. Hands down one of the most attractive cat towers. My kitties really like it. I didn’t use the stretchy straps on the side so kitties could jump on more easily. They like the scratchy side and love sleeping at the top. We have a dog so I think that discourages them from using the bottom. I chose this one over others because of the height. Kitties want a safe place to sleep and heights are great for that. It was easy to put together still looks as good as the day I put it up! It has been very stable for my average sized cats, 8-10lbs. My cats really like this. I am pleased with how it looks, and with how sturdy this is. It was a little hard to put together, but worth the effort. My chunky cats both prefer the top shelf. In the pic you can see about 40 pounds of cat on that shelf.

Beautiful cat tower. However I do have some complaints. As you can see in the photos some of the platforms are starting to droop. My cat is not overweight by any means (10lbs), the platforms are a bit flimsy and cheap. I could not use all the parts included because it limits the use of the cat tower. For example the straps that look so nice and modern restricted my cat from progressing to the next level from that side. The bottom shelf came with a white cover to enclose the bottom level....it was basically cardboard so I didnt install it. 3 stars are given because it 1. It serves its purpose 2. It looks elegant and modern 3. My cat likes it. I do not believe this is built to last. We will likely have to replace in a couple years. ... show more
