Edit (07/11/24): First time machine washing the cushions! My cat puked all over them. I mean food from before, gut bile, hair, all of it. Gross. But I machine washed all three cushions (with some other dirty towels) in warm water on a regular cycle. Then threw them in the dryer for 20 minutes on LOW HEAT. Came out brand new, like nothing happened. Original Purchase (02/07/24) Review: Most importantly, my cat loves this thing. I love it too which is a super bonus! ***Highlights: Easy assembly, sturdy, beautiful, and affordable! - EASY ASSEMBLY: The directions were all pictures with numbers and letters to distinguish all the different parts, but I prefer it that way. Everything was labelled, nothing was missing, and the screws and tools were all separated neatly which I appreciated. I took my time putting it together and it took about 1.5-2 hours. Not bad! - STURDY: It was teetering a little bit before I put it up against the wall, BUT it's fine now. I put a little cloth between the board and the window ledge. It doesn't budge and I didn't need to use the wall mounted thing to keep it from tipping. The sticky pads on the bottom board are perfect for my vinyl floors which have their own itty little grooves/texture. NO SLIPPING AROUND the floor. - BEAUTIFUL / AESTHETICALLY PLEASING: I wanted a cat tree that was modern-looking, simple, and well-built. This is the product that was everything I wanted and more. I love the dark brown finish. The cushions are super soft to the touch and my cats prefer the breathable light material, especially during 100+ degree summers out here in Vegas, NV. So if you're looking for something with thicker cushioning, I recommend buying those separately. Additionally, you won't want to leave the surfaces without any cushions because prior to assembly the velcro was already applied to the boards. I was playing around with the cushions to see how well the cushions stuck to the velcro and those things aren't going anywhere. - AFFORDABILITY: I looked around amazon for months looking for the right cat tree that hit all my expectations AND wasn't over $100. I bought this for $75 (free prime shipping, taxes included). This is the cat tree I took a chance on. For the price, you get a nice look, plenty of space for 2-3 cats, and what I hope will last a long time. It is made of particle board, and I was very gentle when assembling it. If it breaks in under a year, I'll update my post. SUPER MINOR concerns: - Access to top level - something to keep in mind before purchasing: My oldest cat is bigger and kinda chunky so he doesn't really jump that high onto smaller surface areas. Plus, I wasn't sure what his fat *ss would do to the particle board if he did manage to jump all the way up there. I placed a chair I rarely use next to it so he can get up there easier. My youngest (the white one) is smaller and lighter and has no problem jumping up there. - (Edit 07/2024) White cushions: It took 6 months before having to wash the cushions. And that's only because they were puked on horrendously. They look brand new after the wash cycle described at the top of this review. ... show more

Excellent Cat Perch - Both Human and Feline Approved!

We wanted a cat perch that was easy to keep clean (no carpet), provided multiple levels, wasn’t oversized and looked more like a piece of furniture than a cat tree. This fits the bill perfectly. It was very easy to assemble, well-constructed and is quite sturdy (we did secure it just in case, as an energetic adult feline jumper could topple it when jumping off). The directions were clear and all the parts included in well-labeled bags. I like that the cushions are removable and wash beautifully. Our 10 pound cat loves it and spends most of her time on the top perch. The 2 scratching posts are an added bonus. The only negative is that a cat must jump directly onto and off the perches from floor level. There is no way for them to easily climb up. Not a problem for a young cat but might be for an older one and we imagine even more challenging in the taller version of this product. We solved this by placing it near a chair that our cat hops onto and then onto the tree. I definitely recommend this cat tree (and so does Izzi!) ... show more

Nice but not very polished-looking

I cannot speak to how well-received this tower is as I do not yet have a cat, but am looking to get one soon and just wanted to have a few things ready to go for when the right one comes along. My overall opinion of the tower: It's nice, but cheap. While I value the manufacturer's inclination to make a cat tower that was aesthetically pleasing as well as practical, it doesn't look very polished.The edges of the particle board are not laminated so it gives the tower a sort of unfinished look. A lot of the wood pieces did not end up sitting flush against one another once assembled, which again looks kind of sloppy. That being said, for $40 it's not a bad deal. We will probably get something nicer and bigger at some point, just wanted to have something to start with. Hopefully our future cat will enjoy it. ... show more

My cats LOVE this cat tree! They play on it all the time and never have any issues of anything snagging or them getting hurt on it somehow. Nothing came damaged and all pieces came with the item, assembly was very easy and it’s a decent size for two cats. We have some pretty large cats which makes shopping for them difficult! Last year I got a cat tree and unfortunately only 2 of them are small enough to fit on it, so this year it was my goal to find something that the biggest cat would be able to get on too. In this photo- Our 15 lb mama cat is on the middle post and her 20 lb son is on the top. Her other son is 17 lbs (he was busy when I took this photo but also fits perfectly!) The top post is slightly larger than the 2 lower sections so our biggest boy is most comfortable there, but I do think he could fit on the lower posts if he wanted to! The only downside so far is that the cats seem to struggle getting up to the top but I think the addition of some pet steps could easily solve that problem & to be honest they’re probably only having trouble because they’re so large and lack the ability to jump up & down from that height. Overall very impressed with the size and quality. Assembly instructions were very simple to follow & it only took me about a half an hour to build it by myself! If you have big kitties, look no further, this is the one! Update- 20 lb baby has claimed the bottom level & he fits wonderfully there too. I also forgot to mention in my original review how much I love that the pads are removable so they can be cleaned & replaced when needed. Seriously so happy with this purchase! Cheaply constructed, you will need a drill

The holes in the boards to connect the 2 pieces each for base and top were barely indented, I had to drill them in order to put the screws in. A drill was also very helpful for putting the small screws in. When putting on the backing, some of the holes didn't align, and some of the pieces the instructions said, didn't work in those holes. There was no hole to attach the leash to attach it to a window. Bottom is a bit tippy, even with the pads. That being said, I did assemble it and make it work, though it's a bit higher than my cats prefer to jump straight from the floor. I put a lower cat perch next to it and they use it as a step to get to this one. They both enjoy laying on it, it's big enough for one of my 15 lb chonky bois to lay on at a time, and for them both to sit side by side. They have scratched the posts and played with the ball some. It's alright enough, but not really enough value for the cost. ... show more

Assembly is a bear, but worth it

My cat has her favorite small tower where she loves to sleep, but I bought this 26+ inch higher tower so she can look out the window. And that's what she does! She started scratching the sisal posts while I put it together. Total assembly time was 55 minutes. There's a lot of pieces, and screws, and washers. Extras are included. Read the instructions and lay everything out before you start. Screwdrivers included. My cat is enjoying it, she weighs about 15 lbs and has plenty of room. ... show more
