I bought the black Fossil Jolie Crossbody, sight unseen, because I love and trust Fossil brand. I needed a nice black leather bag for special outings. I went crazy one time and bought a darling little black Coach a few years ago (on sale, but still…) and I can’t fit my phone, keys with car fob and home security fob, Fossil wallet (old and faded but still ticking), lipstick, etc., in that expensive Coach bag—even with normal stuff omitted for an evening out. I just tested out the capacity of the Jolie Crossbody and it works for me! This bag came with all sorts of tissue carefully protecting the straps, fob, and other susceptible parts. It arrived in perfect condition. It is elegant and classic and real leather. I sort of agree with other reviewers that it “might” be nice if the short strap could permanently detach but that would just add more hardware and clunkiness. Plus the short strap lies smoothly against the bag when not in use. My Coach bag has two short straps that really aren’t cool looking when I use the long strap. Also, had no idea about the outside side entry compartment for iPhone. Great feature I will feel safe in using. I am totally happy with this purchase. And I am a picky purse person. ... show more

Big enough to carry what I use on a day-to-day basis, which isn't a lot compared to some people. Nicely finished and has a detachable strap from cross body application. the tag inside says it's made from cow hide AND man-made material although I could not discern which was the supposedly "fake" stuff. ... show more

I have been through many bags in my life in search of the perfect one, and then I came across this bag, and I am in love! It goes with everything; it is lightweight and can be worn two ways (crossbody or on the shoulder), it's super roomy and perfect for everyday errands as well as travel. I have used it every day since purchasing it, and it still looks new. The quality is great, the stitching is tight, and the zip is so smooth (I have a thing about sticky zips and have gotten rid of bags because of it, so I love that this one is smooth and doesn't snag). I cannot say enough good things about this bag. Yes, it is a little pricey, but for me, it is worth every penny (plus, I got it when it was on sale, which helped bring the price down). Update July 2023: It has been 10 months since I purchased this hard working and beautiful smaller purse. I carefully measured my usual purse contents against the stated size of this little gem before purchasing. Everyday items all fit. I overstuff it several times a week when carrying shopping bags for a panty restocking trip. I understuff it with a only a taxi wallet in the zippered pocket with sunscreen and a light scarf or sun hat in the main section, iPhone in the outer hidden pocket. It stands up to all weather and daily use. I use the shorter strap to hang it from a restaurant chair back and adjust the longer strap for specific needs or wardrobes. The lighter lining makes it oh so easy to find small items at the bottom of the bag even at night. It is perfect for me for everyday use, but too large for evening events. Of course it is too casual for dressy events. Love it! Original September 2022: Arrived in 1 day! Well wrapped with all of the expected Fossil trademarks. The supple but strong leather needs no breaking in period. The outer slide slit was hard to find (good) and holds an iPhone easily. The inside of the main pocket is lined with a lighter colored fabric so items are easier to find. The shorter leather handle is perfect as a shoulder bag. The quite long crossbody strap is like the main body leather, but seems a bit sturdier and may take a few days to “relax” into its new length to fit my body. The size is perfect and the quality is good and not heavy. This is what I've been looking for and it's decent price. One of thing things that I also like about is there is no Fossil logo on the bag. Hiding log is a trend nowadays and I like it.
