  • Okay!!!
Color: Rose Gold glitz/Blush
This watch was my fav until it wasn't. I know I had this watch for a minute. Then one day I forgot to bring my charger on a trip to Pennsylvania and my watch stopped working properly. It would not charge or turn on. And if it did turn on and try to hold a charge it wouldn't last. I was mad that I had to buy another watch now. ... show more

  • Love it!
This is a beautiful watch. It took me a little while to figure out how to get it all set up, but Fossil was very responsive to Messenger on their Facebook page. Once I got it all set up, I'm really loving it. I love that the Google Play Store is already in the watch, so you can add apps right from the watch rather than the phone app. You can put text in with Google Voice, so it is nice to be able to reply to a text with Google Voice. The watch band that came with it is really pretty, but pretty heavy, and if you have a small wrist, needs to be sized. I put a rose gold expansion band on it. The only con so far is the battery life. The power saver comes on automatically at 15%. I've been playing with it a lot over the last 2 days, while discovering everything about it, putting in my preferences, etc., so I'm not getting 24 hrs. Hopefully when I'm done discovering all it has to offer and have everything I want in it, it will give me at least 24 hrs. That will not be enough of a reason for me to return it, because the charger is very small, and I have a portable phone charger that I can use. Both will easily fit in my purse. ... show more

  • Learning curve... but so worth it.
FYI I am using a Samsung Galaxy 7 with this watch. I got this as a teacher to help with messages from parents at the end of the day when I don't have my phone or computer handy. It really is a very straightforward smart watch for an awesome price. It has a major learning curve and takes some playing with. If I had written a review after 1 or 2 days with this watch it would have been so negative. But I am 3 weeks in and so in love. Still learning, but each thing is a fun discovery. For example, when my Pandora music automatically pops up from my phone app on the watch, the top push button automatically becomes the reverse, the spin dial is volume, and the bottom button is forward. These little details will go unnoticed without some trial and error or a manual (which maybe can be downloaded, but no one actually reads all of those anyway, so way to save paper Fossil). The pros: * So beautiful!!! I got the rose gold with bling and just wow. * The fit app included is fantastic, though I have used all but sleep stuff as I am charging at night. * Extremely programmable! You can make this exactly what you want, but it takes some try fail as there isn't a manual included. * The timer!!! As a teacher, I live my life in a series of 1 to 15 min intervals. With one swipe I am in the timer with preprogrammed options based on what I use most. It silently vibrates to let me know to wrap an activity up. * Voice programing allows you to respond to texts. As someone mentioned before… you can only see the latest text from one contact. I can see many contacts at once, but if someone sends a 2nd before I check, I will have to look at my phone to see the 1st. * There is a keyboard feature that pops up at times as well. Not sure how to make it always work, as I am still playing, but it is tiny and powerful. * You don’t have to download all the apps onto the watch. If your phone has a notification, it will automatically show on your watch. For example, I use the ClassDojo app, which isn’t an option for the watch app store. I was bummed at first, but then a text came through my watch flawless on that app just because it was synced to my phone without a download. * Range is pretty good. I can walk around most of my school jammed with contrasting signal waves without losing connectivity. The cons: * Some of the apps don't seem to work as expected if you download straight to the watch, but again there is a major learning curve and I am able to go around it, so I haven't spent a lot of time figuring out what the error is yet. For example, Pandora as an app on the watch: shows my account, says its playing, but isn’t actually playing. However, Pandora from my phone app works great as a pop up feature (so again, no need to explore what I am missing, as it is most certainly a user error). Messenger as an app on the watch: won't link, but pops up perfectly on the watch through my phone app and I can still respond. So the few issues I have had also have a super easy go around. * Battery: with Extended as an option it almost lasts 2 days, but not quite so it needs charged each night. One issue I have noticed is that with extended you have to turn on blue tooth each morning on your watch for it to reconnect to the phone. Very easy to do with the drop down features built in, and the cloud on the watch shows if you aren't connected right away. No big deal for me, but worth noting. If you get this watch, please take a deep breath and explore. It is so frustrating and awesome all at once if you can get through the initial desire to make it do your bidding immediately with no knowledge of its inner workings. ... show more

  • Would recommend to a friend.
Before I bought this watch I read a lot of reviews and watched many Youtube videos about Smart Watches. The one thing that I loved about this watch is its look. I doesn't look like a fitness watch. The round face is very classy and profesonal. I also love that you can change the bands to match your look. It tracks my runs and walks wonderfully. I haven't had any problems pairing it with my Samsung Phone. If you are a person who loves Facebook ,Twitter and Snapchat notifications than this watch may not be for you. Although It does a wonderful job keeping you connected it can drain your battery very quickly. If your like me and have it on airplane mode during work hours and only connect to your phone when needed, your battery life will last at least two days. If you want a Smart Watch that is classy, well built and android friendly I would definitely recommend this watch. ... show more

  • Beautiful but not functional - a piece of junk
I really like the looks and comfort using the band I substituted. The metal link band is too bulky but that watch had a good discount. The font is small and difficult to read. But my main concern is that each of the two days I have used it, the battery has totally run down. It said two days per charge. I have now exchanged it twice. The updates, look and feel on the new one are great! I would love it but this battery ran out of charge by 6 pm. It is no longer responding correctly to the touch. Today, it was out of battery by 10 am. I have called Amazon's support but Fossil only wants me to mail it to them for repairs. If there is some setting I need to change to get better battery life, I would happily do it. But Fossil has no desire to communicate or help. Watch number 3 is on its way back to the seller. So sad. I really wanted it to work. Back to Fitbit. I called Fossil directly on watch number 3 that would no longer connect to my phone. A said that the description says what it is supposed to do. If I had Gen 5 I could change battery settings but Gen 4 does not. My option is to send it to Fossil for a 4 to 6 week repair. I guess I'll return to Amazon and forget it. I hate this. I wish Fossil would accurately describe their product. A, who was helping me, somehow could no longer hear me. I didn't get a call back even though he had called me initially. So disappointed. ... show more
