  • This watch is one of the best watches available!
This watch is absolutely great. It works correctly and the display is very good. Connecting it to a cell phone is very easy (either an iPhone or an android one) unlike many other watchers that make such connection very difficult or impossible. Battery life isn't good but charging it is fast and then it provides several hours of working. I recommend this watch to anyone looking for a digital watch! ... show more

  • Good Budget smart watch
This is an honest review for people who want to consider buying. For what it is and the price I payed for it I.E. short of $210. It was worth every penny I spent. Not the top of the line watch and it works decent with an iPhone. I get notifications and am able to do simple tasks with it well enough to not complain. It’s larger the. An Apple Watch witch me for being a bigger guy is perfect. The glass on the watch is good enough to resist most damage. I’ve had this watch for about 6 months now and I work security. This watch has no screen protector on it and it’s been slammed, scratched, slid across the floor, thrown across the room and dropped and has taken no damage to the screen. Operating system is a bit funky to get used to but I read that it’s mostly google OS that’s the issue. The band fits nice and is comfortable. A couple complaints. 1. I’m not a fan of the buttons protruding so far out. I’m ambidextrous so I can put it on my right wrist and it’s not as big of an issue but for anyone who only uses there left wrist be aware in any way of bending your wrist you’ll smack the center button and if held long enough will continually bring up the voice command menu. Not a huge issue. 2. Of you try and use moving back grounds it will lag the watch severely. I found the best performance is from the standard black back ground. Witch leads into my next point is watch battery. It’s got about a day worth of life if you have the normal background on and with a moving screen it is a little less. I hear people complain the watch won’t last 2 or 3 says but who doesn’t charge there phone at night? I just charge my watch when I get home and I’ve never had it die on me during the day. If your looking for an average watch that does what you need it to but don’t feel like spending tons of money for a fancy one this is the watch for you. I love it and it was definitely a budget watch that has already payed for itself and I’ve never thought “wish I had an Apple Watch”. It’s sleek and professional looking and just about no one ever even notices it as a smart watch until I move my wrist and the screen flicks on. Due to its “normal” watch look it works in every attire. I’m happy with my purchase and would record this to someone who was like me and looking for a lower budget smart watch that won’t break the bank but will do the essentials and look good too ... show more

  • Simply put, if you're a big watch fan (not even necessarily smart watch) just get it....
So I'm finally getting around to leaving a review for this watch after having for like a month or so. Just a heads up my review is completed based on comparisons I will make to my Fitbit Versa as well as my original Huawei Watch and previous standard Fossil watches I've owned. Simply put, if you're a big watch fan (not even necessarily smart watch) just get it. The price is reasonable especially considering these are Fossil. if however you're looking for a smartwatch to like do more than just the basic stuff maybe this might not be the one for you It's a pretty amazing watch with decent performance and pretty alright battery life. So I'm not particularly amazing at writing reviews so what I'll do is just have a what's good and what's bad section with points. What's Good -The watch is absolutely beautiful and matches in with almost anything I wear -The watch also seems to be pretty durable I mean it's even swim proof. I've literally gone to the beach with this watch on my wrist no issues whatsoever. I've had it for a month and there have been no scratches or dings anywhere and I wear it every single day. -A lot of people have been complaining about the battery life on this thing but honestly I don't think it's that bad considering it's literally a flagship phone from 6 years ago on your wrist. I literally get anywhere between 15 hours to like a day-and-a-half depending on my usage and depending on whether or not I put in airplane mode. if you're like me and you just want a watch to be a watch sometimes and track your steps and your heart rate, leaving it in airplane mode can really stretch that battery life to like 2 days. However don't get me wrong receiving a lot of notifications every day, constantly changing music, constantly replying to messages on the watch and using the watch a lot ( I have 2 games on mine) really does impact battery life dramatically but I don't think it's that horrible. -The screen is absolutely beautiful and bright hands down. -The rotating crowns is just a pleasant thing to use like everyone should have that. -The stock Fossil watch faces are just amazing and there's so many of them I've yet to download any third-party watch faces because I'm completely satisfied with what already comes with the watch as well as a customisation of all the watch faces What's Bad -I think the performances leaves a lot to be desired. If you're using this watch solely as a watch / fitness tracker / notification glancer thing, then performance won't really be an issue however once you get into more demanding tasks (which shouldn't even be that demanding) like for example changing music, scrolling through apps (even worst opening them) scrolling through a lot of notifications (like 15 or more) or checking your calendar events for the day ( I have a pretty big calendar though), scrolling and performance overall does get a bit laggy and buggy. -Speaking of laggy and buggy I've noticed an issue with my watch not sure if it's with all watches but whenever I'm leaving the battery saving mode the watch literally freezes to the point where I press a button and I won't get a response or change in screen for even two minutes, literally. This also seems to happen whenever I put the watch to charge I'm assuming it's now updating apps in the background so that kind of takes away from like actual performance but this is really annoying sometimes and I really don't think that it's a good representation of the watch. This doesn't happen all the time however it's pretty rare. - Okay this one really upset me because I'm a humongous Fossil fan and I've always admired their good build quality and products in general but the top button, it has a different feeling and texture from the bottom button for some strange reason. As in when it's pressed there's obviously a different feeling to both buttons. The rotating crown is perfect, it's fine, however the buttons above and below it, they're very different somehow. The top one feels almost as if it's broken (it works fine just feels stiff and broken) while the bottom one feels pretty normal and I've had this issue since day one. I thought that everyday use would kind of make the button feel more normal but one month in, I'm literally pressing it right now and it feels very different from the bottom button. -Now something that might not necessarily be the watch's fault but it could literally just be the water where I am but I noticed that whenever I wash my hands for example or take a shower the silicone strap would develop a white buildup on it ( I'm thinking calcium or maybe chlorine I don't know) but why it's strange to me is that this has never happened to me with any of my other previous watches. So very strange Overall I really love my fossil Gen 4 smartwatch I'm really upset that the Gen 5 came out less than a month after I bought it which was completely unexpected. Kind of wishing I could return this one then just get a Gen 5 (wink wink @ Fossil). It's a pretty amazing watch that leaves a bit to be desired and as I said if you're looking for an actual watch this is an amazing product!!! However, if you're looking for a device to do more than just tell you the time, date, calories, heart rate and occasionally glance at a notification, if you're looking for anything more than that I don't think it's the watch for you. As an actual watch it's amazing the round face is amazing the watch faces are amazing. ... show more

  • Very nice
I love this watch. I thought this would just be an expensive toy I would play with for a week max, but I ended up loving this watch. It feels so premium and the ui feels smooth to navigate. The only negative is that you'll need to charge it every night and if you forget to then the battery will die very early in your day. Other than that I love it. ... show more
