I got this as "yet another" replacement phone for my wife, who seems to like dropping phones :D Really, I just went looking for rugged Android phones, and after a little sifting of results, and a little further study, I decided to pull the trigger and give this a test. I was astounded by this phone. There are some medium-minor problems that I don't like: - the fingerprint reader just isn't all that great. Most of the time it forces me to use the unlock pattern after it fails too many times. I won't try the facial recognition, thanks. - there was some kind of accidental home-navigation problem going on for a while -- regardless of whether I used the default Android keyboard app or any 3rd-party. Eventually, I found that switching to Android's gesture system resolved that. SO, that's potentially kind of alarming, but once you get used to the gestures, it's alright. Now, on the positive side, - obviously, the audio on this phone is good. But it's SO GOOD that I wonder why we put up with anything less. This should be the standard. - BATTERY LIFE. The phone is, without a doubt, a fat phone. No one can argue that. But that's because the battery is large, and it gives it multiple days without having to plug in. Power has forever been a problem with Androids, and this sacrifice is worth it. - Rugged! A key selling point to be sure, and I'll be honest: I haven't tested this! But if she winds up dropping the phone, I'll come back with an update.

I would recommend everyone not to buy this brand of phones. It doesn't have enough quality. My phone is barely 6 months old after being purchased and it has a software flaw that does not allow it to be used, it simply stays at startup in a continuous loop saying that the phone is corrupted. These kinds of failures are unacceptable, Android is already a mature operating system, it is not experimental software. That only speaks badly of this manufacturer. My final recommendation would be that you buy a second-hand phone from a more recognized brand rather than this useless garbage.

I'm in the US, so in reality, i set my expectations. I do not want this device as a phone, just a glorified mp3 player that i can add a big SD card to, and have unlimited tunes. With a large battery. I can charge this device maybe once a week, and have it used all day at work, 5 days a week. And for these reasons this device gives me exactly that. Plus its rugged, so it can take a beating if needed. In fact, i got this one because i accidentally drove over my last one with my Chevy Silverado. Believe it or not, the screen did not break, nor did the device. What cracked was the LCD under the glass. Sad, but my fault. And any other device would've been toast. The only reason this is getting 4 stars, and not 5 is because this device is listed as going up to 12gb of virtual ram. This is not true. It has only 4gb built in, and can only do another 4gb of virtual, making 8gb total. Not 12gb.

I got this thing because I bust phones like it ain't no thing literally. As far as durability goes I don't think there's another phone on the market it could even match this thing. It survived four high-speed falls before it met its end on the 5th one. It's first of all I was getting on the freeway and had left it on my roof of my car I Heard it go doom doom doom off the roof and was like dang it there's my phone pulled over walked back about 150 yards and there it was on the shoulder just a scuff mark on the plastic Roughly 65 to 70 mph The 2nd fall was at 30 mph in a residential area . Same thing , doom doom doom off the roof had to turn around and go get it this time I got a couple more scuffs. 3rd fall also in a residential area approximately 30 mph and again the same thing off the roof only this time it got a little battle scar by one of the camera lenses on the back of the phone. The 4th one was again in a residential area and I couldn't find a new mark . Now at this point I started showing off to my friends and family by taking the thing and flip it in the air and let them bounce off the ground. I must have done that at least 10 times if not more. Now for his 5th and final fall it accidentally got put on the rails of an auto transport trailer that I was hooking up for somebody and forgot to grab it off of it. I ended up using Google find my phone and it was about 15 miles from my home on the side of the freeway so another 65 mph + hey fall . . This time it suffered multiple cracks to the screen yet the thing still worked it took a few more days of toting around in my pocket before the screen started doing all the funny color stuff.. This thing's definitely worth its weight in gold The picture I'm attaching is of the broken phone

1/19/26: After a few weeks of use, I notice the following: ---battery life has decreased significantly, even though power saving features are enforced on the apps. Now getting only about two days of normal use on this '10,000 mAhr' battery. --- some deeply buried settings screens are in Polish and do not seem to exactly match the corresponding screens on other android phones with the rev15 android software, even when translated to English --- Some security controls related to the Gemini AI app are missing entirely, compared to other rev15 phones. These missing controls are involved with how and whether Gemini collects your data, and when Gemini is started. Basically,it appears that you cannot completely shut off all Gemini functions like you seem to be able to do on other rev15 androids. ---If you do let Gemini run normally the screens and responses seem to be in Polish. I may have stumbled on a way to change this, but have not been able to find it again. Not a problem because I don't want Gemini anyway 1/9/26:The phone works and seems to do everything they say. The rugged case seems to work (I've already dropped it couple of times) even though there doesn't seem to be any replaceable protection for the screen itself like I am used to for aftermarket rugged duty cases by Poetic or others. But: 1) the phone is a bit bigger and heavier than I expected, even considering the built in rugged case, but it still fits in my pocket. 2) battery life is not what I expected for a 10 Ah battery. Runs almost a week on standby, but start using apps a lot and that time gets much shorter. 3) the buttons are not well protected against accidental use - they stick out beyond the case and do get activated accidentally when the phone is in my pocket. 4)some screen functions are not quite the same as previous phones. There is no 'back' button on the bottom of the screen to step back to a previous screen in the active app. (Some apps have this button on their screen, but not all). The 'display all apps in use' button is not there but the functionality is now obtained by a screen gesture that doesn't work reliably for me yet. 5)my carrier's local phone store has not been able to get the micro sd card from my old phone to work in this phone. There is a place for it, but phone does not seem to recognize it. This might not be a big deal - the phone has several Gb user storage built in. 6) they claim 50Mp for the main camera. I think I have it set for maximum quality but other apps using the photos from this camera (and not zoomed in) report them as 12Mp images. Not sure what's up with that. The images do look pretty sharp. 7) this model has a 'super power' flashlight in addition to the regular flashlight. It is really bright and has its own dedicated button. See note about buttons, above. 8) there is a user assignable button that will open an app you assign or perform other functions. Could be useful to someone. See note about buttons, above. NOTE that none of these things I mention are deal killers for me, especially considering the purchase price. NOTE: this is a dual sim phone. No space for an SD card- that other space is for the second SIM. This explains why it won't recognize the SD card, mentioned above.
