TP-02 works well with most 2-8Ω subwoofers. Why does the TP-02 make serious noise when used together with a radio? The common feature of Class D power amplifiers is that they can cause serious noise when used with a radio, so we do not recommend using the TP-02 with a radio or too close to it. Why does the amplifier stop working after a period? And after a while it work again? The amplifier is in this case normally overheat protected, and the output power may have exceeded the designed range, so you can lower the volume a little and try again. Why isn't the powered subwoofer working? Connection: Computer (3.5mm Headphone Out) → TP-02 (Sub Out) → Powered Subwoofer. If the powered subwoofer has an LFE port, use a mono RCA cable. Save your time and money, BUY THIS ONE! I am blown away by this little guy. I am redoing my patio and bought new speakers and a sub for movie nights. I have the BT20A max powering my Definitive Technology aw650 and choose the osd forza 10 for my sub, but I needed a dedicated amp for the sub. Naturally I figured the OSD Smp300 would be a perfect choice buy man was I wrong! I sat and adjusted settings for a couple hours and came to the conclusion the smp300 is either not really compatible with the bt20a max or its really just high powered and just really not that great. The build quality feels cheaper than my fosi amps, especially compared to the max, but what really irked me was that the amp was easily over driving the sub and was constantly sending mid range frequencies to the sub, sometimes it would just come and go regardless of settings. I was so disappointed with the OSD amp I almost gave up the sub 😫. Alas, I decided to take a chance on this little fosi amp! After reading and doing a little research I orders the amp as well as a 24v 10a power brick to unlock the full wattage of this amp. Got it all today and plugged it right in and was immediately just tickled how well this thing works! I sat and listened for hours and adjusting things here and there. The amp sends nothing but lows and has more than enough power to drive the forza 10 to produce some serious bass. All in a package that's probably a 5th of the size of the osd amp so it will fit nicely anywhere you put it! Pros: -Very inexpensive -good build -out if the box use -good power, even better if you upgrade the power supply -delivers clean, powerful bass Cons: -no remote trigger -you have to upgrade the power supply to unlock its full potential The pros greatly outweigh the cons this is a fantastic amp, even after upgrading the power supply its still less than 1/3 the cost of the osd amp. Im returning the osd amo tomorrow.

I have a 7 year-old Polk PSW110 subwoofer. Recently, its plate amp failed. The amp, while easy to replace, hasn't been available for quite some time. I found one on eBay, untested with no returns, so I passed on it. I couldn't find one on Facebook Marketplace. I called the U.S. repair facilities listed on the Polk audio web site. They would all repair the plate amp, but the least expensive facility quoted $100 to evaluate (applied to the repair), plus parts, labor, and shipping, with an estimated total cost around $200. I can buy a new, fairly equivalent 10-inch subwoofer for $230, so going the repair route was not cost effective for me. Then I decided to "think outside the box". What if I got an external amp, I wondered. I did some searching, and came across the Fosi Audio TP-02, which costs only $70, so I figured I'd give it a try. I was able to bypass the Polk's plate amp quickly and easily, thereby converting it from an active to a passive subwoofer. I'm happy to report that the TP-02 is well made, compact, easy to connect, and easy to adjust. Most importantly, I am very pleased with its performance. It provides deep, clean, extended bass response, with extremely low distortion. It can put out way more power than I need in my moderately-sized listening room. Thanks to the TP-02's low idle power consumption, I leave it turned on all the time. When my receiver is turned off, if I put my ear right next to the subwoofer, I cannot hear even the slightest amount of hiss, hum, or buzz. I consider myself to be an audiophile, and I enjoy listening to many genres of music. If you're looking for an excellent, cost-effective way to bring a powered sub back to life after its amp bites the dust, the TP-02 subwoofer amp is the way to go.

I own a Buttkicker 1000-watt subwoofer amplifier that I had hooked up to a custom-built coffee table subwoofer with a single 2ohm 600watt rated 12" sub in it, for my living room home theater system, but that amp has started to fail recently so I purchased this as a quick, cheap replacement, not expecting much. I unboxed it and proceeded to replace the full-sized Buttkicker subwoofer amplifier with this rather small and unassuming box and power it up. I fired up Amazon Prime Music and selected one of my playlists, and let it start playing, and to my absolute amazement, this little amp really rips! I don't have it turned up all the way, but it is almost there, and definitely higher than I would have the Buttkicker volume knob turned up to, and it is a serious little performer! It sounds as good as the big amp does, albeit not quite as loud, but I am not trying to shake the whole house and share my music with my neighbors either. If you're looking for an inexpensive, but reasonably powered subwoofer amplifier for a small home theater system or other home project, I can honestly recommend this one. It is not going to shake your whole house, or break windows, but it will definitely give you the lows you're looking for when paired with the right subwoofer enclosure and enhance your home theater experience a great deal. I actually plan on purchasing at least two more of these for my other two entertainment systems (bedroom and outdoor gazebo) so that I can finally add more low-end oomph to those too.

I use this with the Fosi MC331 integrated via a 3.5mm plugged cord. It's a simple set up that sounds great in my bedroom system. This little sub amp plays very cleanly with all the heft and detail that Class D amplification provides, especially in the low frequencies. I have the volume set at 1:00 and the crossover frequency set at about 100hz. The input sensitivity is fine for matching the MC331 integrated. There is no phase switch, but switching the speaker wire polarity is the easy work around if needed. I didn't. My small subwoofer now blends so well with the main speakers. It's noticeably quicker than the old $450 Class AB sub amp it replaced. It can play the sub louder to impressive levels, and exceeds my need for power playing even the heaviest music. For those seeking serious bass from larger drivers will be disappointed. "This ain't that." The form factor is good and the unit is attractive... but not as attractive as the MC331 case. I hope Fosi considers putting this same package into the new style case for more design continuity. Still, the combo looks great to me. I'm happily filling my life with more music and Fosi provides a cool, convenient way to have high quality audio reproduction for modest prices. I operate this amp for 8-10 hours per day and it doesn't produce any heat due to the high efficiency and has no perceivable impact on my power bill. This is a great, affordable answer to those needing a modest subwoofer amplifier in a small package. After a long life of having high end audio products, I really appreciate the niche that these products fill. It's an exciting time when quality and attractive audio products are now available to more people than ever. And, listening to music makes us a little less crazy. Rock on and hug your mom.

I'm coming from a failed Dayton SA100 so this made for a timely replacement. I'm powering a pair of Aura Pro AST-2B-4 in parallel, which comes out to 8 OHMs with up to roughly 100 watts It does what it says, it can drive a subwoofer (or tactile transducer) within 2 - 8 ohms, but at about 100 watts, 200 PEAK. It comes with an 108 watt brick, no additional cables This is a D class amplifier, so with that comes the benefits of being compact and generally very power efficient over AB amps. However from an high-end user perspective, I did lose a bit of fidelity. Nothing major, being that I am using transducers mounted to my seat I don't need that level of precision. That being said, the potentiometers leave much to be desired. Both knobs have a bit of play to them and are touchy still, so if you're the type who likes to adjust their settings according to the situation you may want to keep this in mind. In fact I'd look to spend a little more for this fact alone. Otherwise the included 108 watt power brick does the job, however I'd splurge for a 200 watt brick if you're running more than one sub/transducer.

Great sound and power. Flexible outputs. Subwoofer spectrum adjustment via cross-over is well done. VERY pleased with the mechanical power switch–it’s useful for controlling the power through other devices such as a remote WiFi switch or other amp rather than having to manually turn it on and off. Solid build. Good quality.

This is a great little amp. I paired it with an OSD in ground oitdoor subwoofer. Sounds incredible. I love the adjustable crossover frequency. Thats really helpful when trying to balance it with my full ranges. For its size and its price it does well
