Large side pockets for my yeti, large zipper pocket for my flip-flops, small zipper pocket for my wallet and IDs, and top zipper for sunscreen. Good Pack Gets My Approval I used this pack last year , almost daily , as my work pack. I do maintenance and light construction work in the Mojave desert. My packs gets a decent amount of abuse. I do a bit of walking too, several miles a day. For starters, the insulated pack area works great and passed my requirements. I pack my bag at 5:00 AM and unpack it after 4:00 PM. Average summer temps in the Mohave , 106 F and highs in the 110 to 115 F range , morning temps can start as high as 100 F , and sometimes the pack sits in a hot vehicle for hours at a time. Everything stays cold. I pre cool everything the night before , and use the flat freezer packs. No problems at all , it’s like a mini refrigerator. The pack has lots of room , I carry in it , two 16 ounce thermoses and a 16 ounce food thermos in the top compartment. I carry in the thermal area , about 8 flat freezer packs , four to five bottles of water , a can or two of soda , lunch and snacks for the morning and afternoon and there is room in the non thermal parts of the pack for other snacks. I carry light gear in the pack too , day planner book, Allen wrenches , mini binoculars other misc supplies. My pack falls off tractors , gets thrown in the back of pick up trucks and hauled around the desert. After a year of use , the pack was dirty and grungy , one zipper clasp fell off , the liner in the thermal pack separated but thermal properties were not affected. The zippers were getting a bit sticky from dust and dirt. The pack was still structurally sound but I like to buy a new one each year and purchased this pack again. It has a lot of room. Great pack for work , one day light hikes. It’s not hiking gear but does meet my needs as a work pack. In my years of buying packs for work that have an insulated compartment , I have not found any including this one that are leak proof , maybe it would of been if the liner did not separate and all have kept everything cool. I needed a pack that had a lot of pockets I take it a lot of variety of stuff to work and their pockets inside of pockets and inside of pockets! There's Pockets everywhere! I haven't filled most of the pockets just the large ones! It's made well hasn't torn with all the weight I put into it. This is the big boy of cooler backpacks. You need to fit a 30 rack, it’s possible. No leakage than I’ve encountered from condensation, haven’t filled it with ice or anything.
