Love this net! It’s small enough to be easily stored on my yak, yet big enough to land a monster. Plus, it floats so you never have to worry about it falling in the water! This was a great investment and I was sooooo excited that on only my 3rd trip out I finally landed a fish big enough to use it! And then another one, and then another one! Very lightweight net that fits any size fish I catch. Handle fits nicely in a standard kayak rod holder hole. Could use a longer handle but this'll do fine still.

The short, compact design of this net makes it the only net I'll ever bring with me whenever I'm fishing from my kayak or a small boat when storage space is at a premium. It also floats and comes in a bright, easy to see color, so I don't need to stress over possibly losing it if disaster strikes and my kayak gets flipped, and even if I did manage to lose it, the excellent value it's priced at means I could replace it without hurting my wallet too much anyway. The non-snag mesh is also excellent to have when using any lures with treble hooks on them, so you save a ton of time that would be otherwise spent untangling them from the inside of the net after landing your catch, and that obviously means there's more time spent fishing, which obviously means more fish caught. The size of the business end of the net(the hoop itself)was a pleasant surprise, as it turned out to be much bigger than I was expecting. If I had to guess, I'd say it's plenty big enough to land just about any fish weighing under 15 pounds, possibly even a bit larger than that(the biggest I've personally landed with it to date with it was a 3.5 pound smallmouth bass, and there was more than enough room for it by far). All in all, this is a great net for anyone who wades, kayaks, or has limited space available on their boat. I highly recommend it.

How and why I picked this net: I mostly bass fish from a 14ft radisson canoe and had been looking for a good medium sized hoop fishing net and didn’t take up to much space. I also wanted a rubber net that was a bit more tangle free and didn’t peel the slime coat off the fish. I happened to stumble upon Greg Blanchard YouTube videos and saw this net. My thoughts: Awesome, awesome net for us small boat bass guys. Takes up no space, is light, cost effective, tangle free, and is better for the fish. I’ve tried most of the smaller nets from Walmart and none compare. I wasn’t inclined to purchase a more expensive kayak net so this fit the bill. One Criticism: It’s a small one and other reviewers have posted this. The stock handle is very small. Probably due in part that the net is a wadding net for trout fishing. I tried the net before extending with 1” inch PVC Hand extension like others on here and found that it took a bit longer to land fish boat side as I missed them a bit (fishing and catching 3lb + smallies). It still worked well but i did extend my handle with PVC and grip material and it’s now perfect. Overall it’s a great net. As a small boat angler it’s the best I have come across at a great price.

I got this net for kayak fishing and it works well for that purpose. It's big enough for inshore fish without being too big. I like having the clip on the lanyard. The rubberized netting seems sturdy and it rinses off well.

I use this when fishing on my Seastream Angler 120 kayak. While cruising it easily tucks in behind my seat. While fishing, it sits on the deck in front of my pedal drive unit and is within easy reach. While some complain about the short handle, it makes it much easier to maneuver and control. Let's face it - landing a bigger fish on a kayak can be a pain no matter what simply because of how you have to handle the rod once you get the fish close. But the size of this net (not too big, not too small) makes it a bit easier to land the fish on a kayak. If you're on a boat, you'll definitely want one with a longer handle.

This net is big and is perfect for all the largemouth bass and pike we bring in during the summer. I extended the handle with the pvc as mentioned in other reviews, it was easy to do and then I just covered/wrapped the pvc with green duct tape. The cord is not retractable, but that is not an issue for us. This net has not disappointed, no complaints after 2 seasons!
