The previous one had a kickstand that was made from a strip of bendable metal that had a plasticky cover over it. I had been through two of those cases. Both had the same issue. The plastic started breaking off, exposing the sharp metal piece underneath. Once enough plastic broke off, the kickstand would stay out all the time. Poor design. This one, however, has a great, metal kickstand that is not sharp. It is shaped like a D-ring, and best of all, it pivots 360 degrees; whereas, the other products I had only gave you two options - vertical and horizontal. The screen protector is not to good. Though it is supposed to "fit the screen" the sides do not curve like the screen does and comes loose at the sides almost immediately. Other than that the case seems to be fine.

I'm prone to dropping my phone like an idiot, a lot, so this was a no brainer for me. It was cost effective as opposed to a $49.99+ case from a normal retailer, and it's lasted quite a while now. Certain chargers and AUX cables don't play nice with it, but that's hardly an issue I've found outside a few emergency situations. It's also super easy to remove and clean too, and it works with wireless charging options even with the case on. I do not know how well the fingerprint reader works since I use retinal/iris locks, but I assume it would work well enough since it doesn't cover the reader or camera. ... show more

I finally Broke the screen after not having a screen protector or anything on it. And dropping it so hard, so many times and it never broke then finally it cracked. I'm still using it but I wanna new one j st cave shots if now. If I had a choice, I'd get that 1 again.

I assume the reason they include 2 screen savers is the hope that maybe one of them actually works. I had no luck with the first one with big bubbles that would not go away, the second one was installed by a Geek with the same result. I lived with it for a week or so but got fed up with the stand that they designed. I had to use a credit card to pull the stand out. Very annoying, The final straw was I came to find that due to the 1/8th inch quarter sized disk on the back that holds the stand I could not use a lay down unwired charger as well. ... show more
