I recently purchased a Ring battery operated camera not realizing that the advanced motion detection settings would drain the battery very quickly and because of this I almost returned it to get the hard wire option instead but then I discovered that both Ring camera models are the exact same camera and that the only difference is that one comes with a charging cord and the other comes with a battery. This means I can keep the battery and just use this charging cord to have the best of both worlds. Now I can keep the camera plugged in most of the time and when I need to temporarily move to a new location such as backyard or driveway I can just unplug it and run off the battery as needed. This is a good replacement cord that works perfectly fine and is cheaper than ordering an accessory cord straight from Ring. I also like the cord is 26 feet long which gives plenty of space to position it away from the power outlet as needed.

Bought this as I was sick and tired of recharging the supplied battery. It plugs into a small port that comes covered with a small silicon/rubber cap and this connected without any issues. I hate paying so much for a small charging code so I knocked it down on the value for the money, but it meets its function so it is up to you whether or not it is worth not having to charge your battery. I am currently using it indoors but it seems to be well built and I wouldn't suspect any issues using it outdoors.

I have a Ring Stick Up Cam 2nd gen. It works great but after several weeks I get an alert notifying that it’s battery is running low. Since it is in a location near an outlet, I decided to try this charger out. It’s a very simple connection at the back of the camera. The connector fits snugly. The cable is 26 feet long so this will reach most outlets easily. Hardware (nail on a clip) is provided if you need to secure it to a wall. The power supply is an ample 2 amps with an A port. When plugged in, the Ring app Solar Status will indicate “Connected“ and the Battery Level will slowly climb to 100%. It’s a great convenient accessory. Yay! No more taking out the battery for charging and no camera down time.

This is great for the Ring battery powered Stick Up Cam where you have access to power and do not want to keep recharging the battery. The device plugs right into the camera without any issue and has provided consistent power to my device. I have noticed the Ring app itself sometimes indicates it's not plugged in, but this seems to be an issue with Ring and not the cord. I've had this with another camera and the official Ring power adapter. I've never had the camera battery not charge though and it works just the same as a plug in cam, with battery backup now.

Just received the Ring Stick-up Power and installed it only a few minutes. Had to find an adaptor to fit to my older stick-up camera, but we'll see how it lasts. Cables seem to be sturdy, which also has numerous cable installed holders leading to the power supply. All in all, very good equipment. MDC
