I've only had this for one day but I am loving it so far. It looks great on the Mac. Installation could not have been any easier, everything just snapped right into place. As seen in the pictures, the ports and vents are not covered at all, allowing the best operation. I bought this primarily for scratch protection. This covers everything perfectly for that. I can't say how much protection it will have from dropping, and I don't intend to test it, but it does appear that it will protect from minor drops. The surface doesn't feel perfectly smooth, it has a slight texture feel to it that will prevent slipping from your hands, but it feels like it is smooth enough if you are the type of person that likes to apply stickers. The rubber pads on the bottom will prevent slipping on your desk/table...they grip very well. Overall, this is a great buy for the price. No complaints or any negative issues yet.

Front corners, both top and bottom of the case halves have developed cracks after a few months. I wish it didn't crack because this a great cover aside from that, it has a very nice texture and attaches easy enough. I would say this is a 2.5/5 on the protection level, if you are cautious enough with your expensive electronics this will prevent any light dings and scratches without adding crazy bulk or changing the look of your macbook, but dont go throwing it around. Edit: Company reached out to me and let me know they updated the design and I had a case from an older batch. They offered to send me a replacement for free and I received it a couple days later. I added a star since they at least stand by their product and customer service is great! Time will tell if this will hold up any better.

The corner of the top cracked. I don’t travel with this 14” MacBook Pro and it doesn’t leave my desk and the corner cracked very quickly from basic light use. They say they resolved the “corner cracking” issue. Clearly not.
