Far exceeded Expectations
You always find a product on Amazon that appears to be built like the original at a better value. 50% of the time the product is just not what you expect and is a complete let down. I'm happy to tell you in this particular case that is not the result. This thumb grip is exactly like the original, frankly almost to the point it made me wonder a bit. It is a perfect fit and does exactly what you are looking for with the thumb grip, uh umm something that should have come with the camera to begin with. I highly recommend this, as in if you are looking to buy it do so right now.

Indistingushable from the genuine
A friend of mine has the genuine thumb grip for the Q3, and so out of curiousity, we met up and decided to compare this product from Amazon to the original. I know there have been many reviews stating this is a very good copy, but I can confidently say, comparing this product and the genuine, that they are INDISTINGUISHABLE. It is shocking how good this is. We got to a point where we had to keep track of which one was which, because we could not tell them apart after staring and comparing at all the different angles. The ONLY thing we could tell was the product number that is underneath the hot shoe is stamped slightly different (font and offset). Everything else, including how it feels and functions is identical. Buy with high confidence!

Perfect fit
Looks, fits and functions perfectly on my Leica Q3. I don’t love the ergonomics personally but that’s more because of the camera shape and not because of this grip. Better than OEM because it’s available and the price is right. Quality is 100% on par with OEM. I hit mine with some chalk paint in the recessed area to highlight the text. Looks fantastic.

Original Leica thumb grip for half price!
I’m pretty sure I received an actual Leica thumb grip for half the price. Weirdly enough, they also sent a Leica screen protector, just not for a Q3. Would recommend this 1000%!

Perfect
If you want a thumb grip for the Q3 this is the one to buy. Indistinguishable from OEM - really. And a really nice glass screen protector to boot! Also has a plastic eye screen protector, but that messes with the proximity sensor and reflects the viewscreen - ended up throwing that one away. So why four stars? My thumb grip did not come in a box. it was stuck in a piece of foam inside a clear plastic bag. I can only assume mine is used. But it looks and works great, so I'm keeping it.

Either genuine Leica or a very good counterfeit.
This is either a genuine Leica accessory, or a very convincing counterfeit. Even down to the engraved product number on the underside of the grip, and the manufacturer's engravings: "LEICA CAMERA" and "MADE IN PORTUGAL". See also: the included screen protector and cleaning cloth, which come in seemingly authentic Leica packaging, complete with hologram (which - again - seems authentic). The screen protector didn't fully adhere, and the red dot on the cloth maybe isn't *quite* the right color, but if I didn't know any different, I'd assume they were genuine. So... yeah. I'm a satisfied customer, but also a slightly confused one.

Get it while you can
I bought this thumb grip for my Q3. I also have the Really Right Stuff L bracket on it, the combination of the two makes for an extremely firm grip. The thumb grip comes beautifully packaged, the grip is in a secure foam case. Also included are screen protectors for both the screen and EVF. As others have stated the EVF protector messes with the auto switch over, so I took it off as the others did. Also there is a cleaning cloth and an alcohol wipe and some paperwork, mine also came in a plastic bag. EVERYTHING in the package is labeled with the Leica logo, strange for a third party product. Bottom line, if you're looking for the perfect thumb grip, this is it....
