  • Do not buy if you have a Stock Bose Head Unit. No Faders or Rear Speaker Sound!!
I have a 2014 GMC Sierra Denali. So if you have a stock Bose system like I did do not get this! Do not bother getting any other android head units either you will be wasting your time. All Android head units require this special fiber box to feed the stock Bose amplifier. It does not work right and you will not be able to control the faders so no sound will come out of the back speakers. Connections with this product to the existing system is a breeze but, I just wanted to upgrade my HMI 2.0 based head unit. It is supposed to work in tandem with the stock head unit and amplifier and HMI Module by translating the AUX signals to digital for the BOSE Amp but it seems like compatibility just sucks and it is not like you can adjust any settings either, it just sounds horrible. No cutting wires, Installation was pretty easy though. If you want to gut and replace every component in your car then get a regular Android head unit without this. They are good for that and you can start fresh. Don't bother getting this with a Bose head unit. ... show more

  • It is specific to the radio manufacturer.
Works great with the Bose system.

  • You have to appreciate the engineering that makes this all work properly with the Bose system.
My 2016 Silverado LTZ has the Bose amplifier system. That limits the options for any radio upgrades that I would like to do. I saw this harness and ordered it for my truck. I also ordered the Kyleno13.1" screen radio upgrade. Be advised this harness is specific to the Kyleno sound system manufacturer and can only be used with their equipment. When I installed the radio in my truck, the harness worked well with the exception of the backup camera. None of the provided adapters fit the video connector from the truck. All of the audio works great, the sound quality is surprisingly exceptional. They provide additional RCA connections for an add on subwoofer and/or video rendering device. The harness is extra long, and be aware that it barely fits in the space behind the radio. Careful bundling and placement makes it possible though. If you are looking at this specific radio upgrade, this is a necessary purchase regardless of cost. But the value of the individual components, plus the engineering that has already been done to make it all work, makes it worthwhile. I will need to enquire to the manufacturer about the video connection though. ... show more

  • Made everything easy
I ordered this wiring harness for a Silverado because I wanted to upgrade my audio system without dealing with a messy install. This made everything way easier. The harness came with clear instructions which was helpful. Everything is color coded so you know where each wire goes. It connects to the factory Bose system perfectly so you do not have to cut or splice any wires which was a big relief. A clean install means less chance of problems down the road. Installation took me a couple hours and that was mainly because I wanted to take my time and make sure everything was right. Once you get it figured out it is pretty straightforward. All the plugs lined up correctly with my truck and everything fit without forcing anything. The quality of the harness itself is good. The wires are well insulated and the connectors feel solid. Nothing feels cheap or like it will fall apart after a few months of use. The build quality gives me confidence that this will last. Once I had it installed my new audio system worked perfectly. No weird noises or connection issues. Everything powered on smoothly and all the controls worked like they should. That is exactly what you want from a harness like this. If you have a Silverado or Sierra with a Bose system and want to upgrade your audio this harness takes a lot of the headache out of the process. It is worth getting to save yourself the hassle of a complicated install for a good value. ... show more

  • Swapping radios with a Bose system can be a real pain. While a bit pricey this harness worked well.
I was given a Kyleno Android radio as a gift. While preparing to install it in my Silverado, I realized I needed this extra harness to install in a GM vehicle with a factory Bose system. I've been through this before with Bose systems, and they can be a real pain when swapping a radio. But this time was different. Every plug had a place, and everything went together rather smoothly. All of the features appear to be working, and the radio is working well with it. Seemed a bit pricey at $200, but it does do the job. Would do it again. ... show more

  • Plug-and-Play Upgrade for Bose Systems – Saves Time, Just Double-Check Your Setup
I picked up this wiring harness for my Silverado with the factory Bose system because I didn’t want to deal with cutting or splicing wires while installing a new head unit. Anything that makes that process easier is worth it to me. Installation was pretty straightforward overall. The connectors matched up well with the factory plugs, and it really did feel close to plug-and-play. I still took my time to double-check connections, but it definitely simplified things compared to wiring everything manually. If you’ve ever tried doing a stereo install without the right harness, you’ll appreciate how much time this saves. I installed it over a weekend while upgrading my radio, and everything powered on as expected—no weird issues with sound output or missing speakers. The Bose system can sometimes be tricky, but this harness seemed to integrate well without needing extra modifications in my case. Compared to cutting and splicing wires yourself, this is a no-brainer. It keeps your factory wiring intact and reduces the chance of mistakes. Compared to some cheaper harnesses I’ve used in the past, this one felt better made and fit more securely, though it’s still important to make sure everything is seated properly. Pros: * Connectors match factory plugs well * Saves time—no cutting or splicing required * Works well with Bose system integration * Helps keep factory wiring intact * Simplifies head unit installation Cons: * Instructions are minimal * Compatibility can vary depending on trim/setup * Still requires basic install knowledge * Price is a bit higher than generic harnesses This is best for Silverado or Sierra owners (2014–2018) with a Bose system who are upgrading their stereo and want a cleaner, easier install. Helpful tip: Before installing, double-check your exact vehicle trim and audio setup. Bose systems can vary slightly, and confirming compatibility ahead of time will save you headaches. Overall, I’m happy with it. It made the install process much smoother and avoided the mess of cutting into factory wiring. If you want a simpler, cleaner stereo upgrade, this is a solid choice. ... show more
