I could tell right away that I was going to like these. The plastic itself is strong but flexible (ie: not brittle) which I think, will help for my soup freezing plans. The lid is not difficult to get on but you do have to slide around the diameter of it to do the final fastening. And then, as you can see, they are also leakproof so I don't have to worry about problems transporting with them. They stack very well so I will be able to put several servings in my freezer door. I don't usually microwave in these and I don't run plastics through the dish-cycle so I can't speak to that at this point. But they are easy to clean with hot water and soap. At this point in my life, I can use all the ‘disposable’ things I can get – I know it’s a detriment to the planet, and so, I always try to get only the good quality disposables in order to increase the overall chance of reusability. The quality of these containers really impressed me. Each lid fits on securely, ensuring everything inside stays fresh, whether you’re freezing or storing otherwise. Unlike other containers I’ve used in the past, these don’t feel like they’re going to crack when you open them, which is a huge plus for durability. The variation of sizes is appreciated as well. Got these food storage containers with lids to use in the kitchen as they are the same ones I was used to seeing years ago that all the line cooks would use for food prep and cooking when I worked in the restaurant industry. I do like that they are listed as BPA free as I would not have purchased them otherwise. They are great to store, pre-chopped fruits and veggies, easy to store liquids, such as soups for meal prep, and I use these to melt chocolates when making chocolate dipped treats. I just love how tightly the lid fit on these containers. I use these containers to sort out Lego pieces by color and size. The thick plastic outer layer is a little bit bendable and that helps the containers from breaking. We covered the containers over with modge podge and pretty paper. The glue set easily on the containers and we were also able to make a hole on top and screw on a small toy indicating the color of what the Lego pieces were inside. The container stack very well and they are easy to wash. Please note these containers do not handle well in the dishwasher on the bottom shelf. ... show more

This is a huge set of food storage containers with lids. There are three sizes(heights); small, medium, and large. They all use the same lids as their circumference is all the same. A few were broken in the stacks and as the plastic is on the thin side these probably wont last forever. They did fine holding hot water, cold water and 20 seconds in the microwave(no lid). I couldn't make myself try boiling water or longer in the microwave, we also don't have a dishwasher(I know) so couldn't test that claim but I'd say top shelf without heat should be decent. I'm also going to use some of the smaller one to sort out our mess of a junk drawer. ... show more

These containers are perfect for any type of leftovers but especially soups and stews. I am never comfortable putting them in other types of containers that do not have a secure seal. These are extremely secure, do not leak and I can take them to work and not worry if I forget about them. The price is extremely reasonable for so many different sizes.
