My wife keeps buying these for the medical laboratories that she manages. She then asks me to assemble them for her and load them into the car--which I do, even though these things are heavy, because she asks nicely--after which I never see them again. I've done this enough times to feel like I can leave a review even though I'm not the primary user. The one she gets is the 30x36 with caster wheels. This is a NICE table. It's heavy and solid and feels like all of the components are of high quality, even down to the stainless grub screws that affix the legs to the top and the shelf to the legs. The metal is thick gauge and sturdy, and the casters are very smooth and solid. Assembly isn't complicated, but you need to be careful to avoid cut or smashed fingers if (for example) the shelf slips before you tighten it down, and you may need help flipping it over afterward. The instructions are clear enough to follow without issue, and they provide an Allen wrench for the screws, though it goes a lot better if you have a ratchet and Allen sockets to use instead. Once assembled, the table rolls around nicely but also locks into place easily without having to stomp on the brake levers. My wife is very happy with how these tables fit and function in her labs, and says they have made a big difference. Overall I think this is a high quality piece of equipment and is worth the price.

I bought two of these tables for my art studio (one 48" and one 36". They were easy to set up (maybe 15 minutes each, including unboxing). The wheels are great to move the tables around in my studio as necessary, and they're the perfect height. (Other tables didn't include wheels, and once you bought them and added them on, they would have been like 37" or 38" high). These tables are exactly 34" high including the wheels. The adjustable shelf is great for extra storage. The gleaming stainless steal is gorgeous, almost made me hesitant to really put them to use and get paint all over them, but whatever, they're going to get dirty doing what I'm doing. Mine arrived with just a few minor dings, again no big deal considering they're going to get put to serious messy use, but it wasn't the catastrophe that others are mentioning in their reviews. I've stood on these tables and they supported me just fine, I can put all my weight on them when working on art and no worries at all. Super solid. Great purchase for (apparently, reading other reviews) a large variety of uses. I'm showing a photo of them in my studio, already being put to good use. I love them already!

Good Quality Steel Cart - Industrial Strength. Looks and feels sturdy, although the mechanism to attach the wheels is less than ideal. The wheels were difficult to attach and instructions were not clear. I'm still not sure they are properly inserted - it works on a sort of suction method - I would have preferred to screw the wheels in for security. There is a plastic covering on the steel surfaces that protects it in transit, but they are very difficult to remove. Also mine still had a small scratch despite the protection, and have seen other reviews that had much worse issues. The rubber wheels have a pretty strong factory smell which is unfortunate as you don't want your kitchen to smell like a factory. But overall it's very stable, the height was just a little lower than my counter, and seems functional for what we will use it for. It rolls fairly well, and despite their smell, the wheels seem to be of a very high quality build. I think the storage capacity will depend on the size you choose, but the size was great for what we wanted to put on top which was an Indoor Smoker. It's stable and a nice item for the price and I will be keeping it.

This is a really nice table. Casters are large and smooth. Is easier to assemble with 2 persons. Delivered with no box bumps and no dents. Mark the position of the bottom shelf taking the lip into consideration! One person to hold legs and second to mark position. One person to hold shelf and second to get the allen screws started, open edge facing out for the other newbies...have to be tight enough to hold and go back to get really tight. Was easier than I thought to get it upright. Biggest challenge was castors lock tightly. Advice elsewhere was to use a rubber hammer to open and close with pinching fingers. Suspect the mechanism will loosen over time. And the protective plastic takes some patience. Beautiful table in my laundry room! Highly recommend.

MAJOR QUALITY ISSUES. Ordered this to be a prep area for my tiny kitchen. Price was right & free 2-day shipping. Unit 1 arrived on time. Many tears & dings in the cardboard box. Opened it up, found that one of the six threaded bolts which hold the leg-sockets to the underside of the tabletop had snapped off in shipping. Also, both the table-top and the shelf piece had major dents in them. Some number of the steel set-screws which hold the legs to the table-top and the shelf to the legs were missing from the package. Ok. I received a bad unit. No biggie. Tape the box back up, click on the 'return' button on my Amazon order. I have the luxury of being able to work-from-home on days where I need to stay home all day to meet the UPS guy, others may not... Replacement unit arrives two days later (actually ahead of Amazon's guaranteed delivery date). This one also has (minor) dents in the table-top, and on this one THREE of the twelve steel bolts which attach the table-top to the leg-sockets have snapped off. Also, the weld-points where they attach the bolts to the underside of the table are visible as dents from the top of the table. This one is missing one of the sixteen steel set-screws which hold the legs to the table-top and the shelf to the legs. I definitely should return the second one as well, but it's a heavy steel table and a pain to disassemble / pack for shipping might just live with it. Either way I go, I'll never be ordering anything from Apex again. Design problem: steel bolts that hold the leg-sockets to the underside of the table-top are welded / brazed to the bottom surface of the steel table-top. This is a poor design, the bolts snap right off, and even the ones that hold leave visible imperfections on the top surface of the table. Packaging / handling problem: I received two different units and on both of them, the table-top has gotten dented out of shape either in the warehouse or in shipping. No instruction sheet included. I'm still figuring out how to mount the casters (it's non-trivial). I'm sure I'll figure it out, but an instruction sheet would be nice.

I am using this unit to hold a glass fusing kiln that I need to be able to roll away from the (combustible) wall in my art studio when in use. My kiln is primarily made of light weight fiber, so it is not very heavy (maybe 40 pounds), but it's base is 2' x 2' and it must stay level, so I needed a large, stable, non-combustible surface for it to sit on. This table fits the bill! It was packaged amazingly well. The box is HEAVY, so, if you are like me, plan to have someone help you move it or do as I did and empty the box's components one by one from where it is delivered. It was easy to assemble. The gauge of the steel is reasonably thick (probably 14 gauge?), and although it did have a couple of tiny dimples in the top surface (that clearly happened during its manufacture as the box and packaging were in perfect shape), they are really insignificant and my kiln covers them anyway. I only mention them for those people who are expecting to purchase a $300 table and get a perfect mirrored surface or a showcase table for their gourmet kitchen. This is a very good, medium-duty working table that will happily hold fairly large and modestly heavy items, and allow you to roll them around the room with ease. I would buy it in a second as a surface to operate any household kitchen appliance, including an oven, mixer, or meat grinder. Do not expect to pound items on it with a hammer, nor will every inch of its surface or corners be polished to perfection. Assembled, the top surface is at counter-height, surfaces are smooth, and it rolls perfectly. Love it!
