Purchased this FULL SIZE 6” mattress to go with my new Murphy bed. The mattress isn’t even fully expanded in this pic! It fluffed up even more after approx 48 hrs. There was a slight smell upon opening but once it sat out to fluff and expand, the smell dissipated. My guest stated it was super comfortable. I was a little concerned that the fold might be uncomfortable so I purchased a mattress topper to go on top. Purchased this 6 inch, trifold mattress for our new Murphy bed. The “sleeping model” is 165 pounds and 5’4”. It fluffed up easily after opening and one cannot tell that there are folds in the mattress when sleeping on it. My 74 yo dad slept on this for a week and reported it was very comfortable. The outside cover is good quality and easily removed with a zipper should be washed. It didn’t have that terrible smell that a lot of things have when they’ve been packaged from overseas when we opened it, however, I did wash the cover just to be safe and it was easy to put back on. I plan to take it and put it in our camper over the uncomfortable mattress on the fold out couch. It’s very lightweight. ... show more

I found the 6 inch mattress to have a good amount of cushion. Not especially firm, but comfortable. I am a petite woman with hip issues, and this mattress worked well. My larger husband also said the mattress was decent. No smell. Fluffed up quickly. I would recommend to the manufacturer to change the mattress to 5 inches of foam and 1 inch of gel. I think it looks good under the window in my spare bedroom. It is a decent 'sit anytime seat' when it's all the way folded. 50 pound dog fits next to me. Then, it is very easy to pull it away from the wall and use it almost like a couch, with the back rest against the window sill. And, finally, to lay it all the way out and make a bed. Couple points I've learned: it works better without a soft mattress pad. I might need a different pad, but I prefer sleeping on this without the softer pad I have. Because it is plenty of support by itself and actually pretty firm, for memory foam. Although it does sink in. My ($3500) memory foam bed is nicer in terms of firmness than this folding mattress. But I can sleep on this without issues, and do sometimes, even when that other bed is only a few rooms away, lol. Lastly, I liked it so much that I got another one in the other bedroom and, when paired next to each other I can turn my entire living room into memory foam paradise. Or, when put on top of each other it is almost like sleeping on a bed with a box springs, size wise. These things are really convenient now that my kid is out of the house and I don't need actual beds in my spare rooms. These serve many purposes. They also work as ottomans when I put one in front of my desk chair. And I'm thinking I might eventually get a loveseat or 3 cushion couch and use one of these as sort of the "L", because it could be decent for that. They are just super convenient. When I looked at it I thought single meant the depth of the mattress oppose to single size meaning twin size mattress. I will admit this is the 1st time I've seen single size for the many, many mattresses I've brought throughout my life. When I brought a mattress I looked for twin, full or king. So make sure you verify it's a twin/single size you desire. Overall I have no issues with quality of the product other than I'm now stuck with a twin mattress I don't need. 🙂 ... show more
