  • Very stable.
Item Shape: Single
I had a disaster with a cheap stand and a Les Paul. The tripod base was too small for the heavy weight of a Les Paul and it made it very unstable. I knocked it over by barely brushing agaisnt it and guitar hit the floor face first and the entire head stock snapped off. Shortly after this I bought a Martin D16 and wanted a stand that would protect that pretty pricey investment and not repeat the Les Paul incident. This stand seemed pretty sturdy with a wide base so I gave it a shot. It is very sturdy and feels very stable even with the weight of a heavy guitar like a Les Paul. And with a lightweight acoustic it would be very difficult to knock over as the stand weights about as much as the guitar and the base is quite wide. So unlike the cheap stand you can push it quite a ways over and it just pops back upright. So very stable and I don't feel like I have to have yellow caution tape all around my guitar stand in case someone accidentally brushes against it. The auto latching is nice and works reliably and all the surfaces that touch the instrument are cushioned in one way or another. I use it in my practice area so I don't travel with it so I can't speak to the ease of folding and unfolding it compared to other stands but it is certainly not complicated or difficult. The hook on the back is a nice convenience although I'm not sure who is going to hang their gig bag on stage. But for lessons or jam sessions it could come in handy. I have a number a cheap stands and this one is definitely worth the extra money for the better build quality and the extra security it provides. Learn from my mistake a don't by a cheap stand. ... show more

  • The best guitar stand I have ever owned!
Item Shape: Single
I love every thing about this puppy…easy breakdown portability & set up. Light weight. Takes up very little space in your gear transportation. The cushioned protection for your guitar’s preservation is the best I’ve seen. It’s a very stable stand when set up & tested. The top “soft-clamps” are perfect for holding your neck straight & secure. If you are considering this, you should do it! I cannot imagine someone trying out another (less expensive) brand!!! ... show more

  • Great Guitar Stand
Item Shape: Single
Very good guitar stand. Sturdy, well designed and decent price compared to Hercules brand.

  • I'm buying 2 more right now!!!
Item Shape: Single
Okay, I marked 5 stars on "light weight" because I didn't want it to bring down the rating. It is NOT light weight because this bad boy is strong. Works great for electric or acoustic. Top neck adjusts up to fit height of your ax. Since it is a "hanging" set up, the guitar just rests against the bottom. It also has little levers that automatically fold down to hold the neck in place so it doesn't slip off. I love how sturdy it is. And to top it all off, it all folds down cleanly to go in your gear bag. I'm sure you've had the fun of typical stand where the top doesn't fold and it tangles into all your other stands and you have to pull off that bottom fork. Nope, this guy just expands out. Now, I know, or at least think, Hercules started this type of stand but these are cheaper and I honestly don't know what I would improve on it. Love it. ... show more

  • Love it!
Item Shape: Single
Bought two of these for my two kid’s guitars. I must say I am very pleased with the item as I have one that is more expensive from a popular company whose name starts with an ‘H.’ Very comparable and less expensive too. What I also like is that the area that the guitar is being held by has satin material velcroed on to protect the guitar’s finish ... show more

  • As good or better than any other
Item Shape: Single
I've been using this stand for bass and six string guitars for 4 months now, transporting it at least 3 times a week. It's stable and easy, and as good as an Ultimate or a Hercules. It's got better clamps than an Ultimate, better materials than a Hercules, and is about the same size as a Hercules when folded, but has a better mechanism for locking the yoke in the folded/unfolded position than either of those. I totally like it. ... show more

Item Shape: Single
Better than I expected. Very well constructed. Good stability and adjustability. Could have been a bit taller IMO.

  • this is a great stand
Item Shape: Dual
wow, best stand I have ever used. Holds two guitars very securely. takes up a little more room than my fender stand, but it holds two, so it works out.
