I have found the foldable level measuring tool to be a handy little gadget to have around the house. At first, I found its folding characteristic to be of little use other than for storage, but I have since found other uses for it. Recently, I used the tool while installing solar pathway lights along our driveway and sidewalks. I used the folding aspect of the tool to ensure that each light was equidistant from the driveway or sidewalk. Then I used the tool's leveling feature to ensure that each post was perfectly vertical. I have to say I have never seen a level quite like this one before. It is a novel concept. Rather just a straight bar, this one is hinged into five sections so that it can fit around corners or avoid objects and still get a good level reading or line. What a great idea and sure nice to have on the job. The hinges are actually double hinges so it allows for more options and control. The hinges are very stiff, which is good so it holds the shape you are after once you get it in position, making it easy to do the job without changing shape. The overall quality of the level and its construction is very good. It is certainly built to last. It also comes with a carry bag. This is always nice, but this bag isn't that great. Something a little more substantial would be better to keep the level safe and secure. Overall, this is a new tool that really comes in handy. ... show more

Modern innovation is wonderful! This foldable level was more than I expected for fit and finish. The fit was nice and tight, almost too tight but worked perfectly. The accuracy was good too, when compared to a level I know is accurate. You can see this in the included photos. It's a torpedo level on steroids! A fell 28 inch level that fits in my tool box. The. bendy bit is useful for leveling corner shelves as well. It's also magnetic. Only know is that it takes a little futzing around to get it to unbend but that is probably necessary so it stays in the position you unbend it to. Fun and valuable little tool in my estimation. There are two spots that measure the same perpendicular angle and they should read identically but don't. When checking two sides of a 90-degree object one side will say level while they other doesn't even though they should both be level if the device was accurate.

    • Nice looking level with lots of features BUT not accurate
I was intrigued but the folding capability of this level. I was concerned about the accuracy of this design but figured I would give it a chance. When I opened it up I was impressed. I appeared well made and very solid. The hinges were sturdy with no play and were almost too tight as I had difficulty opening it up completely and getting it straight. I laid it on a table to help get it flat. It appears to be made of aluminum and has a very nice red anodized finish. It has 8 magnets on the bottom to allow you to stick it to anything iron. The bubbles were easy to read with both 0/180 degree bubbles having a white background underneath, a blue liquid and double white lines on both sides of the bubble. The 90 and 45 degree bubbles have the same blue liquid and white lines but instead of the white background it has a smaller glass tube on each side of the main bubble tube that also has the same double white lines and seems to reflect the bubble from the main tube and lets you get a more accurate reading from different angles. So far so good. But then I laid the level on edge on a table and noticed that the bubbles on each end (0/180 degrees) which should have matched their reading were off by quite a bit. Each were off in the opposite direction from each other. I tried flipping it over and end to end but that didn't make any difference. I raised one end to get one of the bubbles centered between the inner lines which made the other end's bubble outside the inner lines and fully touching the outer line. The accuracy stamped on the level state 0.5mm/m but eyeballing it it appears in this case to be closer to about 6 or 7mm from end to end which is 28" which is only about 0.71m so for a meter would be even worse. I have a set of 48" and 16" Stabila levels which are considered the standard for high end levels and cost over 5 times what this level does. I had planned on using those to check the accuracy of this level but if the bubbles in this level can't even agree with each other then there was no point it checking anything further. I was hoping it would be usable especially with the hinges as I could see instances that would would come in very handy. This level also does look very impressive. Maybe I'll put it on display on a shelf or pegboard in my shop to show it off but as it is I can't trust any reading whatsoever and this is totally unusable. ... show more
