Pro: I ordered the Rose Mirage set. The colors are lovely and I look forward to using them. Two of the colors are shiny and one is matte. I really like that combination. I can use all three at once or separately. The consistency is smooth but not greasy feeling. Also, I tried rubbing my hand (where I color swatched them) and the color would not budge. Not even a little bit. Which also means that it shouldn’t crease. I think it will stay put all day but be careful where you put it bc it’s not mistake friendly. I’m pretty comfortable with my eye makeup so that’s perfect for me. I’ll update later if creases are an issue. Con: The reason I gave it 4 stars is only is that they are loose from the bottom, like you can turn it upside down and the stick will fall out. I’ll have to be careful with them. Not an item I’d feel confident throwing in my purse.

I don't remember how much this makeup cost, but I remember thinking for 3 sticks of eye shadow, it was reasonable. I think the colors are pretty. I like that it has a shimmer to it. I was very pleasantly surprised to to figure out that there more than just the tip. You get a tube of it by taking off the cap and twisting the tube near the eye makeup opening. Here are my issues: 1. When I received it, the darkest color tip broke off when I was applying a sample to my arm for the review. To be fair, it did sit out on the porch for about an hour in the heat. However, you still have to be very careful not to press too hard when applying or the tip will breakout off and then it's a mess. You could try using a brush to apply it. 2. I only really like the lightest color for brightening the lid. The middle color is ok, but I rarely use it. The darkest color is too dark for me; it looks like a bruise. These are only my opinions, so keep that in mind. 3. The makeup came off (see photo - sorry for the close up, lol) after application and blinking. This application was probably a few weeks after I received the makeup in the mail. 4. Lastly, my eyeliner does not do well on top of the makeup. I assume because the makeup is oil based. The take away is, it's alright and it did the trick, but I probably will not order again.

The bottom three stripes in the photo are these three shadows. The top two are Julep brand Burgundy and Rose shimmers. They look close, but the julep is more pigmented with a subtler shimmer. The julep I’ve been using for a while and last all day, blend well, stay put, and don’t smear all over. I just thought these focallure might provide similar shadows with different colors. However, the focallure aren’t worth even the very cheap price. They smear, and while the glittery shimmer spreads everywhere, the pigment seems to disappear altogether. You cannot create clean, defined lines or nice blending, because it all just becomes one overly glittery cloud on and around the eye. Even when I went to clean these swipes off my hand, the focallure color came off when I just wiped it with my other thumb (after one wipe I couldn’t differentiate between the colors). All that remained was some glitter, which came off with soap. I had to use makeup remover and then soap to remove the Julep. Not even the price is a “pro,” since you end up with no color, and shimmer everywhere. Buy some cheap body glitter instead and you’ll get the same effect.

This is the first time I'm trying creme eye shadow. I have always worn powder eye shadow and sometimes I get particles in my eye. I wear contact lenses, so I wanted something that stayed on my lids. I am pleased with these sticks. They are a bit shimmery but not too much. I was surprised that it didn't wash off with soap and water (it did say waterproof!) so I used make-up remover. Overall, I think they are reasonably priced and easy to apply.

I'm not really sure and maybe it's just me but these were so meh for me just like any other ordinary don't stay on long eyeshadow sticks. I'm not sure where all those positive reviews come from, I tried all in this set and bought the bronze trio as well, none stayed for more than a couple of hours and much less on hot days. I obviously do not recommend these shadow sticks which is sad because the colors are really pretty and they're convenient to just throw in your purse but they just won't stay on, gave 2 stars for the colors.
