This is an exceptional device for rechargeable battery replacement. No more frustration with trying to get solder to stick to batteries. It is neat, compact, and very easy to use. The design is outstanding. Don’t be intimidated by a lack of knowledge on spot welding. You will quickly learn how to use it and it will pay for itself quickly if you use a fair number of rechargeable batteries. I had never used a spot welder before, and I built my first replacement 3 cell pack within one hour of opening the box. I would only recommend using this for NiMh or NiCd batteries and not for lithium batteries unless you really know what you are doing. The device doubles as a battery bank for times when a spot welder isn’t needed. It comes with a roll of nickel tab stock that can be cut to desired size. Understanding how to use it only takes about 15 minutes on YouTube. Experiment with old cells a few times before you begin using new cells. The device comes with easy to understand instructions regarding making adjustments to settings, and making adjustments is very simple. The only negative thing that I can say is it does not come with recommendations for settings to use, but that information is readily available online and on YouTube, and it is not enough of a negative to subtract a star. This is definitely a 5 star product that comes exceptionally well packaged with a reusable box for storage when not in use. I will definitely look for other products sold by FNIRSI.

This is my second attempt at a battery spot welder. The first came from that Ali place. After receiving this one, I'll need no more. It arrived well packaged and with the shown attachments. First couple tries convinced me it is a keeper. Found using the higher settings with single pattern worked best for all sizes of tabbing. My 18650s are now well connected.

A complete dud. It is easy to set up but it does not do anything. It will be used as a power bank because it is useless as a spot welder. No matter what setting I use it does not weld or even spark. You can hear a pop inside the unit sometimes but nothing where you are welding. It was a total waste of money for me. I will now have to but another one from someone else. You can hold the tips on the battery connector strips for one second or one minute and get the same result nothing. It looks nice feels good in the hand but in the end it is still nothing.

With some previous bad experience with Chinese battery spot welders I was very undecided on getting this one. Actually saw it for about $12.00 cheaper on a Chinese outlet, however was not going to take any chances. Paid a bit more on Amazon with certainty I'll be returning it. Besides, it takes weeks to get it from overseas. To my surprise, this unit works way better than I expected. I've been a battery pack welding nut for last few days and this tool works awesome. I'm keeping it. Thanks FNIRSi - well done!

Do not fast charge. If you're doing a big battery build, don't get this one, I had to stop several times to recharge, I recommend looking for a spot welder with a large capacitor instead. It's convenient that it's portable, great in a pinch, but I wouldn't recommend it for long sessions.
