Description

Fms Reflex V2 can be reprogrammed easily with different model files via a simple software-allowing pilots to use the same flight control unit as they progress to different aircraft. Flying is simple when you have your very own "co-pilot"- the Reflex V2!REFLEX FUNCTIONS 3 flight modes are available: Stabilized, Optimized or off. 1. Stabilized mode: Designed for beginners, Reflex will rapidly level the aircraft from any attitude when this mode is activated. Stabilized mode combines accelerometer and gyro data to determine how to level the aircraft when the control sticks are released- giving pilots absolute peace of mind. 2. OFF: Turns off all gyro functionality, the aircraft is flown completely manually when the gyro is off. 3. Optimized mode: Utilizing advanced solid-state gyros, the Reflex system maintains aircraft attitude by counteracting inflight upsets- from gusts to crosswinds. With Reflex, even small aircraft will fly with the confidence of something much larger!Operation instructions 1. SBUS\PPM input: Connect the 3-wire cable into the port that is labelled SBUS\PPM. Ensure that the polarity of the cable is correct. The default channel assignment is aileron, elevator, throttle, rudder and mode switch (Note: Different aircraft may have different flight modes, refer to your aircraft manual for more information). If the channel assignment does not fit that of your transmitter system, change the channel order from your transmitter. 2. PWM: Connect the throttle and flight surface channels to their corresponding ports on the Reflex system. Connect a 3 wire cable from the channel that is controlled by your 3 position switch to the port labelled SBUS\PPM to control the gyro mode.

    • A Good Product!
This 3 axis gyro-stabilizer is a good addition to older non-stabilized receivers. I use this product with older generation 6 channel Spektrum Receivers and they work extremely well. Only problem is getting the correct firmware installation that works for your RC aircraft. It took me several attempts using the FMS Application on my Windows 8.1 PC before I got it to work correctly. Be patient and try numerous downloads from the App menu until you get one that works for you. Once you get the hang of it you'll likely want more than one of these units since the do the same thing (almost) as a much more expensive Spektrum receiver. This unit also works well with the Orange RX line of receivers sold by HobbyKing. BTW - you must download the firmware upgrade application from the FMS website. ... show more

    • Terrible instructions, can not set it up
The instruction says to download appropriate parameter file first and load it onto the Reflex controller. It does not say that it MUST be done from a Windows machine, I have a Mac. After borrowing a windows machine, discovered that the link they provided is stale and no longer exists. After spending some time on their web page, found and downloaded the file. The window's security stopped me from running the *.exe file because it can not be trusted. There is no additional help/support on their web site on what to do from this point. I am relying on Youtube videos and other internet help but so far no luck and the unit is useless so far since I have no idea if I can use it as is in any plane or really need to upload the correct model onto this device. ... show more

    • Great product but poor documentation.
Great product. Works perfect on my fms 800mm t-28. Only downside is the lack of good documentation. Instructions for wiring are very poor.

    • FMS reflex gyro was a waste of money.
The most frustrating thing for me was the fact the instructions were poorly wrote. That and me being a newbie to rc planes made for a pretty bad experience. It did not work properly for me a try all , which was surprising to me because FMS has always been top shelf

    • Not a good purchased
I had high hopes when purchasing the Reflex gyro v2, unfortunately this product didn't operate at all, the software is flowed on FMS site, indicating USD will not connect, tried to trouble shoot, but no success! so far not a good buy

    • Fails without warning.
Worked great on inital flight, tried again plane went straight up and straight down. Put another one in different plane, all good on the workbench, took to field, plane went straight up and straight down.

Poor instructions Poor manufacturing support Twice ruined a good plane. I will NEVER use this poor excuse of a gyro/stabilizer AGAIN! Nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.
