Description

The J-11 fighter is a domestic version of the Su-27 that the People's Republic of China authorized from Russia. It is a third-generation fighter. The Shenyang Aircraft Company established a production line, and Russia supplied the main parts and systems to form production and assembly capabilities. Later, China carried out independent research and development on its basis, and derived newer models such as J-11B and J-11BS. Superlative dark gray paint, smooth aerodynamic contour, outlines a unique sense of modern technology- FMS dual 70mm EDF J-11. In terms of performance, Dual 70mm inrunner 12 bladed EDFs and high-quality 80A ESCs provide ample thrust for high speed, excellent vertical performance and resonating turbine engine sound. In addition, the pre-installed metal gear servos and ball link style control horns make for more responsive and precise operation. In terms of appearance, FMS captures the essence of this fighter. Functional restoration, such as large size airbrake, LED navigation lights & landing lights, full- motion tail, landing gear door with sequencing effect, retractable landing gear system that can resist hard landings, static restoration such as cockpit details, panel lines, detachable ordnance, pilot, and highly recognizable trim scheme, all these details combine to make the FMS J-11 stand out on the tarmac and in flight. I have not got a chance to fly this bad boy yet, but it is so far very impressive with the quality of material, the thrust, everything seems amazing, wish it had retracts though.

I ordered one of these on behalf of my wife for my birthday. It was advertised as PNP, FMS 3280-2100kV inrunner/fan, Reflex V2 stabilization and XT90 battery plug. When it arrived FedEx the box was all but destroyed but I found no damage to the plane inside. However, upon parts inventory I found that it had not an FMS, but an inferior Eflite 3270-2000kV motor fan, no Reflex V2 at all and an EC5 plug instead of the XT90. Since the shipping box was destroyed returning the plane wasn't an option. It was showing "out of stock" by then as well. So, I ordered the proper motor from another reputable vendor and contacted the seller through Amazon. After a bit of negotiation the seller agreed to refund the price of the new motor plus shipping and send me the Reflex V2 module. I had already installed the proper battery plug from my stock. I appreciate the fact that the seller responded promptly and honored what was advertised. I'm also thankful that I had Amazon behind me had things not gone as well with the seller. The media could not be loaded. Now, I havent maiden this plane yet. But I think it will fly just fine like other FMS planes. This being the 4th FMS plane I've been dealing with. I know what I signed up for. Spent hours to finish the build. Now you might be asking, why u spent hours to build a PNP plane? Here are my reasons. Firstly, when I bench test everything out of the box. One of the retract got fried rightaway. I did some diagnosis, then found the "connection box" shorted the retract unit. I was able to replace the retract with a Eflite F4 nose retract. They are the exact size and dimension. Of that being said, this is the second "connection box" from FMS that has failed me. I have the 980mm FMS P40B with the same problem. So if you are dealing with such a "connection box" from FMS. Do urself a favor, JUST THROW IT AWAY, and do your own connections with some Y leads. Secondly, , FMS Flap digital servos are always funky. They make asymmetrical flap deployments. And they tend to quit quickly over time. So I had to change those servos. Last, there is not much space in the battery bay to accommodate your receiver and wires. Had to glue my AR636B receiver on the roof. Beside all that, the plane has great gear shocks. I did replaced stock hard tires with Dave Brown soft tires. 2"x19mm for the main, and 1.75"x13mm for the nose. The finish of the plane is pretty good. However it only comes with one pilot. I put two Freewing YAK 130 pilots in there. Also added some wing weapons which I have laying around. I would give this plane a 4 star, but that fired retract took one down. Fair RC has been pretty responsive on shipping and replying my messages. So 5 star for them. Update after 10 flights in. Sweet flying jet. Flying with my friendโ€™s freewing yak together. This is my favorite 64mm F-18 on the market! I've bought 4 of these now (Crashed them due to my own stupidity) and will keep buying them. Flies awesome and lots of fun! Dont attach the landing gears or ordinance and the EDF has plenty of power! More than a 1:1 thrust to weight and almost impossible to stall (unless you are being dumb). It looks very good in the air and has a nice whoosh sound when flying. The only complaint I have is that the battery compartment is very small and hard to work with so I sometimes just fly without the canopy. PS. Use 4S battery and NOT 3S. 3S will not have enough power and can cause you to crash. This is also a very fast jet and definitely NOT for beginners. ... show more

Amazing plane. NOT FOR BEGINNERS! Adequate RC knowledge needed. Previous EDF experience highly recommended. 3S is just not enough power, I run a 4s. Evelavtor is extra sensitive, don't forget to adjust the angle of degree for the elevator when setting up your receiver as instructed in the manual or you will probably crash. The plane flys very nicely and looks extremely beautiful. Compared to my eflite F15, it flys faster due to the KV3900 (f35) vs a 3150 (f15). Overall an amazing plane, highly recommend this one, purchased it instead of the Freewing F22 and I do not regret it at all ... show more

I bought this from Fair RC and they shipped it very fast! This EDF is a must have and is very easy to handle in the air. The Bae Hawk loves to be flown whether it is calm or if it is little windy, it can handle it. The Bae Hawk is great for grass fields and I had had no issues with the gear at all. $212 plus tax with a coupon. What a deal for this little screamer. I used Pilot Ryanโ€™s rates and expo and a 6s 4000. It was perfect. Itโ€™s fast so keep it close. I flew off grass with no problem. No flap mixing was needed. Four minute flights. As noted, this jet was a great value.
