An absolute beast, solid as it gets. Between me and a coworker there are 3 of them and they have all held up great. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one in a heartbeat. Has tons of power, super solid body and frame structure. Would recommend zip ties for the lights wiring since them come attached with double sided tape and a re prone to getting unplugged. Also add a washer to the mud flap bolts to help secure them on. But this thing is just awesome. I've driven a few other brands from others at work and this is definitely my favorite. I've run it on a single 6s and two 3s batteries both ways have plenty of run time.

Purchased 2, both red and green wheeled versions. Fast on 6s, real fast, crazy fast. Rock solid out of the box with some gyro adjustments. This overall chassis has been around for a while. It's proven and this really is the 3rd generation. Yikong, Ridge Racer, now the Bronco. This really is a UDR killer....lots of fan boyz out there, lol. Good battery life. We get about 15-20 minutes 6s running hard on short track. Really not a beginner cause it can be a handful with speed and control. We have also programmed the ESC which is really cool. The programmers are sold on Amazon and are dirt cheap. Drag, braking, punch and more, all programmable.

It's been a winter project of mine to convert this RTR into a purpose built racetruck. The great big servo that's included is cheap and slow. What it lacks in literally everything, it makes up for in size. Ears for installing a standard size servo are included. The BEC runs at 6v, and the servo is rated at 8.4v, so right out of the box, this large servo is not even being fully utilized. A normal size servo ~$100 will serve this truck just fine. I imagine a $30 generic servo would die an untimely death trying to steer this large and heavy truck around pack after pack. Replacing the servo with another 1/5 scale servo would be expensive and unnecessary, since sheer torque and holding power are not required, thanks to the servo saver built into the bellcrank. The servo saver can be tightened, but the real limiting factor is the weight of the spring; tightening it basically just reduces the range; it needs a heavier spring. Yes, two semicolons. ESC is OK, but dumbed down for RTR use and has fewer programming options. Motor is no-name, but probably fine. That's all connected to a Dumbo radio. I'll be honest, I have NOT used the truck in its stock configuration, and have really only ripped around my garage in its current form, but the radio feels cheap and icky. It's perfectly fine but I'm picky so.. All the brains get scooped out. The arrangement of the chassis is interesting yet kinda ugly... mechanically, and aesthetically. The rear relies on two towering plastic struts to stabilize and suspend the rear, and three horizontal aluminum bars to keep them square. There's no triangles. In fact, the BODY is used, indirectly, to help keep the rear of the car square. The RSB is built into the body. The whole thing is really quite Micky Mouse, but it absolutely works. The heavy RSB is effective with the body securely pinned in place. When you "remove" the body, you're basically releasing it, and it hinges backwards, secured to the chassis by the RSB links and rubber limiting straps. This is very unusual, for sure. It's not bad, but weird. Removing the body requires removing 4 somewhat contortionist-invoking screws, and two steel bushings for the straps, and putting them someplace safe until you have to put them back in. The body is equipped with two tiers of lights. It has neat little running lights, and headlights, roof lights and tail lights. The two are separate. They're wired w/ plugs throughout the body so you can replace them one module of lighting at a time. I did a little route optimization since the wires are known to get caught by the wheels when in use. I applied some heavy duty stickers to the inside of the body to help prevent the plugs from scratching off the paint. The lights want 6v, so if you increase the BEC to make the servo happy, you may make the lights unhappy. The lights are good enough that you'll want to give them their own power. The lexan dust cover is annoying to install and remove. If you search this car on Thingiverse, you may find some helpful parts that help correct some of the issues I've mentioned throughout this review :) Tires are hard and grippy. On smooth concrete, they sound exactly like tires w/ too much wheelspeed, squealing in a very Put-A-Smile-On-Your-Face kind of way. The rear diff's juice is too thin. All the juice is too thin. Expect to do some diff fluid tuning depending on what you want. On the whole, the thing looks great. I don't love that the chassis underhangs the body by a pretty good amount, but at normal viewing distance this is not evident, but it does present clearance issues. At full compression, the front bottoms out in such as way that the chassis does not drag, but the rear does, so that's good in terms of practicality. Traxxas UDR is very costly. Arrma Mojave 6s doesn't have a solid rear axle. This is kinda The Truck To Get, to be completely honest. It's a great platform for your own personal touches, or to be enjoyed, shortcomings accounted for, in RTR form. Update: I have a GPS onboard and the car has a hard time getting over 42 MPH on very short grass. I’m using a slightly higher KV motor than stock and a more powerful ESC. Since the car is pretty heavy, aggressive drag brake use gets the motor TOASTY. It’s amusing that FMS sells pinions with higher tooth count, when in reality it probably needs one less tooth, unless you’re using it for speed runs in a parking lot. I think an 11T will be just the ticket for this thing. The car has taken a few pretty gnarly high-rate-of-spin, almost pathetic tumbles and just continues to go. The body is pretty tough and the chassis seems to tolerate quite a bit as well. Whatever weight fluid is in the center diff makes for a nice dynamic, neither too front happy or rear happy. It’s a pretty well balanced truck in terms of cornering and sliding. I did stiffen up the front and rear diff fluids… Unless you’re going in more or less a straight line at high speed, the truck will wander and dart and veer pretty wildly over any terrain. Making this thing go over 45 MPH is just asking for trouble, IMO. Consider a smaller, NOT LARGER pinion. This info is while running the provided 12T pinion. Using Ovonic 6s 6Ah packs, I get right around 15 minutes of throttle time and the pack ends up about 3.65v per cell, which is safe, as performance really takes a hit once you’re below 3.7v per cell. 15 minute runtime is great! The pack is warm, the rear diff is warm, the motor, with active cooling, is usually above 150F. This with around 60F ambient temp. Is the motor too small for the car? I was going to go larger but any longer, and it won’t be protected by the chassis plate. A slightly wider motor probably will bolt up and squeeze in just fine. If you’re running hard, consider a larger motor. It’s a heavy car.
