We have admired the linen-textured sheers in 4 and 5-star hotels the past year, and wanted some for our bedroom windows. We ordered real linen ones, but the texture was too fine to see and they looked like sheets hanging on our windows. On our recent stay at a hotel we realized that the sheers were actually polyester. We ordered one pair of these sheers to test before ordering them for four windows. These are beautiful. Running each panel through the dryer for a few minutes with a damp towel as another reviewer suggested really did remove all wrinkles. They are very heavy and substantial, and the sheerness is just right for us. They looked even better after hanging for a day or two. The white sheers are not a bright, stark white. They tend toward ivory, but not so yellow. If I am wearing clothing or sleeping on sheets, I do want natural fibers against my skin. Don't flip out because the sheers are not actually linen. They are hanging on your windows and will look great. ... show more

They add elegance to the room while still letting in the natural light. The shutters behind can provide privacy but the drapes make the room look so much better! I would not want them to be more sheer. The ones I bought for a different room were too sheer and did not have the same elegant look.

First off for all the people saying these are not linen, it doesn’t say it is, it says “linen texture”! This is the second set I’ve bought and I love them, my first set has been washed and hung back up damp multiple times (due to dogs making them dirty) and they look fabulous. The gray does seem to make a room a bit more darker than the white, but I wasn’t looking for room darkening so I’m good. I ordered these to go behind some very sheer curtains and they are perfect.
