    • Simple hoverboard
The first thing I noticed was that the term / label "Flying Ant" was nowhere to be found on the packaging or the device. It's just a generic hoverboard. That didn't bother me too much but it was a bit of an oddity. The other thing, and this didn't bother me too much either, was that the image of the hoverboard on the amazon site has music notes coming off of the board. But we have found there is no music function at all (bluetooth, etc).. so that felt like a cheap off-brand marketing trick. The board itself is sturdy and feels solid enough. The auto balancing feature doesn't really work according to how the instructions state "wait for both lights to start blinking.." You'll be waiting forever. You just need to get on it and hope. Now that said, we bought this as a starter hoverboard for our 7 yr old daughter and she LOVES it. She's already a little natural on it. It does run for about 30 minutes before it needs a 4 hour charge. It appears to go faster than 6 mph but it will also ring an alarm when that happens (apparently because it's bad for the battery).. so it's up to the user to make it go slower when they hear the alarm. Charging.. I don't trust the charger provided totally.. so I put it on a timer. Plug it in, hit the button on a timed switch i bought and then the power will go off after 5 hours. I think this will do better than just leaving it plugged in. (Their instructions state you need to disconnect it after the light goes green... so this suggests to me that their charging solution isn't very good if it can't automatically turn off the power delivery). We like it because it's a simple no frills hoverboard that's simple to use. I wish the advertising was truer to form... but we are still satisfied. ... show more

Purchased this for my daughter. She loved it. The one we purchased did not have the Bluetooth capability so make sure you select the right one when purchasing.

    • Short battery life.
This looks nice and my daughter loves it but boy the battery life is short! I read 30-60 and I would say 30 minutes max! Kind of stinks it we wanted to take it to town to ride around. Not so we’d be stranded quickly!

    • Son Loves It! Wish battery life was better.

I gave this to my 9 year old (70pds) for Christmas this year. We have had it for almost a month and he loves it. There is not much clearance from the floor to the base, so you definitely have to be on a smooth surface, no gravel or grass. The only complaint I have is the battery life, wish it lasted longer than 20/30 mins or so and that the beeping noise it makes when the battery is below 20% wasn't so annoyingly loud. My brother in law (160pds) and oldest son (210pds) have both taken it for a spin as well and it moved just as well with them as it did my 9 year old.
