  • These stink
Horrible smell, but that's what you'd expect in a fly attractant, right? These attracted SO MANY flies! Word to the wise, though; don't put these anywhere near where you DON'T want flies. They attract flies, dummy. I don't know if they made my fly problem any better because, even though it trapped hundreds of flies, they attracted those flies in order to trap them. These traps absolutely work. No doubt about it. I'm just not sure they were the solution for me. ... show more

  • Awesome! Just be careful
This bag does what it says! The bag was filled from the red line to the end of my finger tip within 4 days. When i received the bags i filled one up and hung it high in the back yard. Then i took a second one, filled it and before i was able to hang it the zip tie came loose and the bag fell on the garage floor. Thankfully it didn’t smell too terrible and i was able to rinse it out with a hose. Maybe i should have hung it up first and then filled it like the instructions stated. After a few hours the bag started to collect flies. Within the next few days the bag was the place to be for all the flies! What a hotspot! It completely helped with the fly issue in the backyard and did not smell bad but i think it’s because i hung it high. I was worried that the bag was going to fall and all the flies and liquid would be in the backyard but thankfully it didn’t. In order to take the bag down, i put some gloves on and i placed a plastic bag around the fly bag (it case it would break) and i took it down. Pushed the lid down and tied the bag securely so that nothing would come out if it spilled. I placed it upright in the trash bin and put the trash out the same day. As i got closer to the bag, the smell was truly terrible fyi. I will definitely be using the other two bags but i will try to secure the bag with something else so i don’t have to worry about it spilling. ... show more

  • Smells awful, but works!
These things smell terrible, but they really work. Make sure you place them away from open windows/doors. After filling them up, within twelve hours it had already caught over 50 flies. Few weeks went by and the whole bag had filled up. Only real issue with them is that the twist-tie they provide to hang the bag is pretty flimsy. One of them broke off, spilling the nasty smelling liquid (and hundreds of dead flies) all over my backyard. Make sure to mount securely! ... show more

  • These work great!
At the end of the season, I throw a bag full of bugs in the trash. These seem to work a lot better than the indoor options. Plus they keep the flies from bothering you outdoors. I saw that one of the rating categories was scent! Have you ever heard the phrase, "Dude, you gotta smell this!"? Yes, it smells that bad, but only when you get close. I hang it under a second floor deck. You don't smell it on the deck. You will if you get within a foot of it under the deck. ... show more

  • Traps work amazing
Why i gave 3 stars……. The bottoms of 2 traps were folded into the shipping bag and when i cut the bag open, i cut through 2 of the traps. Manufacturer needs to pack more carefully as 2 of the 4 were ruined.

  • Immaculate fly catch for our outdoor unscreened porch!
A single trapped captured probably 500 flies. We had extremely bad amounts of flies for some reason and I put one of these on the potting flower hook and over the course of a month it caught several hundred flies. Well worth the money to save from the torture of the flies! All the black stuff in the bag are the flies, there is about a four inch layer of flies in the bag. Just make sure it's in a well vented area so the smell gets around and draws the flies in. Doesn't work well inside the house. ... show more

  • These Absolutely Work, but Read this Review
These 1000% work. Trapped more flies than I have ever seen in one place in my life, and I live in Iowa. HOWEVER...be careful throwing this out. The initial smell when it's trapping flies isn't that bad. As it fills, the smell gets a little worse, but nothing too bad, as long as it's far enough from your house. But the smell if you drop it when it's full of dead flies, is something that I will never forgot. Just make sure when you are taking it down to put a bucket underneath in case you mishandle. I'd honestly recommend keeping a bucket underneath at all times because it is literally the smell of death. Plus I have two dogs that of course, rolled around in it. That wasn't how I wanted to spend a Sunday. I have significantly less flies but two very smelly dogs. ... show more

  • Easy and effective
I've used these for a couple of years now. They are easy and effective in catching flies. You do NOT want this in the area you will be sitting/relaxing. The stench of the bait is awful. I put mine near my butterfly garden in the back of the back yard. They do not help me on my patio that far away (25 feet). I use other sticky products on the patio. Unfortunately, I had 2 bags leak and fall because I accidently cut them getting them out of the packaging they came in. ... show more
