I use this product to feed crickets bought at the local pet store for my daughter's pet Grey Tree Frog. I was looking for something easy to use so the crickets would actually live long enough to become frog dinner and I'm glad I bought this! It's easy to cut the cubes into smaller sizes if needed and you don't have to buy the water gel since it contains enough moisture, thus saving you money. Now I can buy several weeks worth of crickets and keep them all alive instead of going to the store every week! I like that there's also extra vitamins and calcium so it makes the crickets more nutritional for your pet. ... show more

It does its job. It's kind of the quintessential must-have for keeping crickets (even for just a short time). I hate crickets. Don't particularly feed them to my reptiles, however, on the off chance that I have them in the house, this stuff works great for feeding and moisture. I also will throw a cube or two in my superworm containers for moisture and the added vitamins (in addition to their regular foods). It has a smell, but it's not bad or gross.
