No experience with other stoves, but this seems nice for the price. Was missing a nut welded inside to mount a leg, but I found a spare in my hardware collection. I would recommend assembling before heading out on a trip. Got this a few days ago have and have been using it every day for 2 days the stove is much heavier then I thought it was going to be it's made of thick metal the welds could be better would of liked to see a solid weld around the stove pipe opening but it's only tacked in place the legs are good enough but could use a few welds as well to help sturdy them up if your going to get this stove do your self a favor pick up a 2.36 stovepipe dampener as well as a few inch of small chain with a keyring for the door latch the ring it comes with gets hot after awhile but with the chain it will hang far enough over to stay cool the dampener will help keep it from burning up wood to fast also do a small slow burn for a few hours in it to set the paint then it won't come off as easy ... show more

It’s worth the money but you need to modify it yourself for it to work perfectly. You need a damper section, which you can buy separately, and then you have to figure out the best way to control air intake.
