The media could not be loaded. Bees immediately visited the honey super - love the look of this afordable and functional hive. I found it to be true that the assembly was difficult as there were not a whole lot of instructions and a lot of pieces but we were able to figure it out. This is such a great beehive and affordable. It was kind of hard to put together, but you tube has a lot of tutorials to help with that. Our bees are happy and thriving for our first year.

    • Difficult to assemble
Everything arrived looking great and we were excited to begin out bee journey. However after laying the items out and reading the assembly instructions we began to realize this was not the quality product we thought. The wooden fingers on the panels do not align with each other making assembly almost impossible. The brood box is not level and doesn’t sit square on the base. Beeswax is a beneficial substance to the hive, by replacing it with plastic you are depriving the honey of those benefits. Harvesting honey too soon can result in the water content not being low enough and your honey can rot.
