We used to put up burlap fabric to block out the view of a busy street, which was good because it was biodegradable. BUT it sagged and needed to be replaced every year. This fabric, while only up for a few days, looks like it will last for years.

We have a wire fence that allows our dogs to see through and bark at our neighbors constantly when they are outside which gets annoying fast. After setting up the privacy screen, they no longer can see our neighbors and this has solved most of the problem, now it is just a bark here and there because they can only hear them.

This privacy screen is lightweight while still feeling sturdy. The grommets and stitching appear to be of good quality. The privacy screen allows wind and some sunlight to pass through while still providing the privacy desired. The length and height are great for adding to an existing fence, but I probably would not recommend using this in place of a fence as it is just material and may not provide the security that a proper fence would provide. With that being said, you will need to figure out how to attach this to your existing fence (unless you have a chain link fence, then it is simple to use the included zip ties and grommets), such as with cup hooks or other such hooks put into the fence boards. The zip ties that are included are fairly long, but not quite long enough to go around a fence board.

This is very good shade cloth and does exactly what it's supposed to do. I bought it to make some privacy panels which I'm working on now. The fabric is exactly what I was hoping for. Good value.

We got this for more of a wind barrier and not so much for privacy fencing. One thing to keep in mind if you are going to use it for this purpose is to attach it to the side of the fence that has the prevailing winds. This way the fence adds 99% of the support and it doesn't turn into a parachute that is only secured by the grommets. It was a good solution for our needs, The privacy aspect is just an added bonus.

This has worked out great. We had some spaces between the wood in our privacy fence and our dog barks every time she seems the neighbors. This screen is thick and really does block the view. It was easy to hand and should stand up to the weather extremes we have here.
