Greetings, This is a perplexing cologne. I do not detect a typical strong lime scent. As a cologne, what scent it has does not stick around. But as I am using it, I am coming around to liking it. I still don't know what it is! It is not a strong lime scent I would expect. But it is a refreshing aftershave. Will will edit my remarks as I learn more. I love and trust my Pinaud product line. Update: Well, I has been two and a half weeks. I love Pinaud's Lime Sec. But I had to go to Pinaud's website to discover what in blazes it is! Pinaud says: Lime Sec is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance for men. Top note is Lime; middle note is Floral Notes; base notes are Musk and Exotic Woods. Refreshing quick hit for casual occasions. Scent is very nice and fresh. That explains why I could not figure out the scent. Its very complex! I only know that I keep coming back to it. I love it now and a definite keeper, along with Pinaud Clubman, and their Virgin Island Bay Rum. Now I am tempted to order their Lilac Vegetal. It was the very first after shave lotion made by Edouard Pinaud himself. They have been around since 1810, and are doing something right! I'm hooked. :-)
