It is designed for floating laminate, LVP, vinyl plank and engineered wood floors. The planks must be able to move freely. It is not recommended for flooring that is nailed, glued down, severely warped or permanently fixed in place. Does the suction cup work on textured flooring? Use the suction cup on clean, smooth surfaces. Apply an included adhesive pad for additional grip on lightly textured flooring. How do I use the floor gap fixer? Clean the gap, secure the tool and gently tap the 45° striking surface toward the gap with a rubber mallet. What should I do if the gap moves to the next plank? Continue moving the planks along the same row until the remaining space reaches the expansion area beneath the baseboard. Will the tool damage my floor？ The suction-based design moves compatible floating planks without nails or permanent glue.
