I sized up in this dress to an XL. I was hoping that if I sized up, I would get a little bit more length, but alas, it didn’t work. Sizing up gave me the extra room I wanted, as I didn’t want it skin tight(I’m super self conscious about my mom-tummy, as having 2 c-sections did NOT have a good impact on my stomach). I absolutely LOVE this dress, as it’s really soft and stretchy, but even with being only 5’ tall, it’s just way too short. I’m bottom heavy(big ol’ butt 😅) and it just goes up above my butt when I walk, leaving my whole ass and thong hanging out for the world to see. I don’t really like dresses that go down below my knees, as they make me look even shorter, so I was hoping this one would work. I’ve got to return it though, since it’s just way too short, even for me 😞. I’m 5’, 162lbs, and bought the XL in grey for extra room(which it’s great for!). I ordered a medium and it is a little shorter than I prefer and slightly more snug than I like also. I think a large will probably fit perfectly. For reference I am 5’3 and 145 lbs. I am 5'1" and usually a size 4 petite. I bought this in a small originally but it was much more form-fitting than I was looking for. The material is a heavy-ish stretch (not t-shirt material) and the small was tighter than I wanted. Thankfully, the length was great, above the knee but not super short. I went for a medium and love the slightly looser fit (more like how a tshirt would fit). It'll be really cute with a jean jacket or white sweater over the shoulders.
