This shelf has worked out really well for my setup. I’m using it for gaming with a mini projector, and it fits perfectly with a little bit of extra room. It keeps everything off the floor and looks clean on the wall. Installation was really simple and didn’t take long at all. The cutouts in the back are also a nice touch since they make it easy to route and hide wires so everything looks more organized. One thing to note is that it’s not solid wood, it feels more like cheap particle board. Because of that, I wouldn’t put anything too heavy or too expensive on it. It’s been great for a mini projector or smaller devices, but I personally wouldn’t trust it with larger gaming consoles or heavier equipment. That said, for the price ($13.99 when I ordered it), I think it’s fair for what you get. It does the job well, looks nice, and was easy to set up. Overall, I’m happy with it.

Got this KVTUKIAIT Floating Projector Shelf to get both a full sized modem and router off my desk. It turned out to be the perfect size. Please note that this is NOT solid wood as the page declares, it is melamine over pressed particle board with rounded corners and a nice cutout in the back in which to route cables. You can mount the shelf brackets on the top or bottom, the top uses up space but acts as "book ends" of a sort, the bottom frees up space for items that can't fall or vibrate off the shelf. It is fairly strong especially if you mount at least one bracket into a stud. Even if this was wood, the brackets make it look less than high-end, but they do their job, If I bought it again, I think I'd go with black, instead of white as now that I see it mounted I think it would go with my decor better. All-in-all a good shelf that does what its supposed to. Pros Sturdy enough for projectors Easy to assemble Good value for the price Includes hardware for installation Designed with a wire cutout Cons Doesn't look high-end * If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically an Amazon review program where they send you products for free** and you give your honest review of that product. ** These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax (~30%) on the items they receive. Doesn’t sit well on wall

I recently finished my basement, and one of the finishing touches I still haven't finished is installing my projector on the wall opposite my flat-finished movie wall. I was planning on installing a shelf just under the power outlets and HDMI connection I wired up, and this inexpensive floating projector shelf seemed a great next step. My projector is a small LED projector that doesn't need a heavy duty shelf. This shelf is somewhat light weight, but isn't flimsy. The product details say it is made of "solid wood", though it is covered by laminate and so is almost impossible to verify. The shelf hardware is also light-weight, but made of metal, and so plenty sturdy enough to hold a small LED projector. All screws and other hardware is included. I was hoping to screw the shelf into the studs in my wall, and the shelf is just barely big enough -- 15.75 inches -- to stretch across the span of studs in the wall. While the shelf does include the right hardware for screwing the shelf into sheetrock, I'm more interested in getting those screws into my studs. And the included screws will work. One minor issue is that the instructions don't really show an accurate picture of the shelf - it is missing holes in the brackets. This isn't that big a deal, because you can see the holes with your eyes, and they included the right amount of screws for the holes available. Still, would it be so hard to include accurate instructions? Anyway, this is a great little shelf for not much money, and will allow me to complete my media room. Glad I ordered it.

I'm using this shelf for an electronics shelf in a closet in a cottage -- with my wifi router, fiber ONT and a small mini pc neatly stored on it with a small power strip in the back. It's the perfect size for all that. The overall quality is ok - the shelf is just a pressed fiberboard - and the metal brackets basic and lightweight. It was easy to assemble - as some others noted it is not pre-drilled - but that is likely intentional to allow flexible shelf bracket mounting to studs or room specific needs. I could use this being useful for projectors or other similar uses - but if used in a room I'd probably want a better looking overall shelf. For the price - it's ok - and is a ready to go solution.
