This does not work- dose not shut off flow of water into pond causing over flow. Because ponds have algae, debris etc that is pulled into the pump box where the float is located, in spite of debris net, the float becomes coated or clogged and does not close. I would give it no stars and will have to remove it. Apparently I have missed the return window by a few days and should have pulled it but need help to but I have been manually keeping my pond level with a hose. Waste of money!

I have purchased at least 20 of these and most of them work properly. Two of them do not work at all in the water always overflows. That's a 10% failure. Overall it's good.

The product arrived the same day, and all of the parts were assembled and complete. I use a float valve to keep my pond filled to a specific waterline year round in the Pacific Northwest, and they usually last about 8 years before they stick closed or opened and need servicing or replacement. It’s slightly different from my existing float valve in that the new plastic fine debris filter fits between the hose and the 1” threaded connector. Also, it did not come with a mesh wire large debris screen (my old one did). Differences aside, the function is the same as the new float valve. And the materials are solid and just as easy to disassemble to service and maintain. I would buy this brand again based on my initial observation… even if it lasts only half as long as my others. It was a same day convince and the price was right.

Completely useless item. The float functions yet the diaphragm and design are functionally flawed as to not stop the flow of water. Seek an alternative so you don't waste your time.
