I bought one of these a few years back when I was shopping for an extension cord that was flexible and had less of a memory when coiled up and un-coiled than the usual extension cords. It's a goofy sounding word to use in this context, but "supple" is the best way to describe this cord. Nothing is more frustrating than a kinky and stubborn power cord that won't sit flat or straight--especially when I'm trying to run them around corners in my shop to supply various woodworking machines with power. I like them to sit out of the way and flat on the floor, and when I'm done, I want to be able to wrap them up and hang them with minimal fuss. These are great for this. I ended up buying two more of these (at least, I might have four of them but I have ordered three according to Amazon). The original one that I purchased has been in my bag of music cables that I take to band gigs. This cable has been run all over stages and under carpets, stepped on a zillion times, had beer spilled on it, and is still going strong. The lighted plug is super handy for spotting on a dark stage in a dark bar, as is the radioactive green color of the cord itself. I also played a street gig a year or two ago where this cable was driven over by a few vehicles with no issues. A lot of people don't expect much from their power cord and just buy the cheapest one they can find, but it's a big quality of life improvement to have a durable and best of all FLEXIBLE cord that sits flat and straight. This cord works great until it gets to around -10F then it has problems with stiffness and will not coil up without some effort. At -25F it becomes almost impossible to coil up as it is very stiff. Below -25F and it is no longer very flexible. I realize that most people don't need to be concerned with such low temps, but for those that do I would not buy this cord if you desire the flexibility. I give it two stars for high visibility and the fact that it has a lighted plug to indicate power. Feb 2019 Updated to three stars as it is very durable; coils easily when temps are above +10F; overall a very nice cord for most users at temps above +10F. When colder than +10F that I found that taking it into a warm place for 5 minutes restores the flexibility quickly. Dec 2022 Updated to four stars; overall the best cold weather extension cord for the price. Extremely durable. Have used in temps as cold as -55F and yes they do get extremely stiff at those temps, but flexibility restores fairly quickly when taking into a warm place for 5 minutes. Have used Flexzilla cords for years and have not had any problems with them breaking or wearing out yet; even when used in sub-zero temps. ... show more

Wow, I have had this cord two years now and it is still in great shape. . It has traveled with me across country to every RV park I have stopped at. I t is easy to see at night, the end lights up which makes it easy to find when it is plugged in. Rolls up easily and storage is a breeze. I use this in my camper van to hook up to shore power when it's available and fits perfectly in my VW Westfalia's built-in male plug receptacle on the side of the van. It has held up well through a couple of winters and shows no sign of wearing out. The light in the plug is nice to verify I actually have power. It also works well with my portable generator when out camping and allows me to keep the generator at a decent distance from the van.
