It took a bit to figure out what adapters to assemble to fit my mattress. A full charge filled my Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XTherm Max (full length) mattress 5 times. The first fill took just under 60 seconds, the fifth took about 90. Though it had slowed down, the battery wasn’t dead. Also, on the first deflate, I ran the pump in deflate mode to see how much it helped. (Not much, as it turns out. But this did run the battery for a few additional seconds.) By way of reference, it takes me about 2:30 to fill the mattress using the pump sack. Downsides: - Noise. Quite an annoying, high/ pitched whine. - Weight. With the necessary adapter, the “Tiny Pump X” weighs 3.3 oz vs. 1.9 for pump sack, so it’s heavier by 1.4 oz. - It’s another thing to worry about charging. Charging uses a USB-C cable. - I have no notion of how reliable or fragile it is. The pump spins at high speed, so I can imagine it has a limited life. It’s a compact unit and is easy enough to protect with a pair of socks or similar. - You cannot walk away while the pump is running. (It keeps running and would eventually burn out the pump, or discharge the battery). - The weirdness of the on/off switch, which requires a very particular tap to turn the pump on. (Otherwise you get nothing or you turn the lights on.) This is surprisingly annoying. Upsides: - Faster. - Much easier to operate in a cramped space, such as inside a tent. I use my pump sack as a mostly waterproof clothes bag, so there’s little real cost to the redundancy of carrying it. ... show more

    • Really small pump, but the rubber thingy could be bigger and better.

The apparently extensive instructions are in Chinese, with a few words in English, but the English words don't actually say how to use it, like turn it on, for instance. Luckily, it's not rocket surgery. Double clicking the switch turns the pump on and another click turns it off. Holding the button for a few seconds turns the light on and clicks after that make it brighter and then turn it off. It's a drag that even if the light's been on for a while on low, you still have to click through the brighter settings to turn it off. So far, I've used it once as a test. It took 2 minutes to inflate my air mattress - a Klymit Insulated Static V Luxe, a pretty large sleeping pad, 3x30x76", or something. First item I've had of this kind, so I don't know how that compares to the field. It works and it's really small. What I don't like particularly is the rubbery attachment to cover the one way valve. It barely does cover it by stretching because it's really pretty small. The evacuation function really didn't work, maybe primarily because of the mattress itself, but also because it's practically impossible to fold, roll and generally compress the air mattress and hold the pump in place at the same time. The rubber thingy doesn't grip the valve in any way and doesn't even want to stay attached to the pump. Luckily, that's not a deal-breaker. The light is very bright at full, ... show more

I've taken this on about 6 camping trips now and it works great. It's small and lightweight but very powerful. The light is more than adequate for a tent. A nice bonus use I've found had been to use it to add more air to a fire getting it started much quicker. The battery seems to hold a charge just fine and has never died on me. ... show more

These couple Oz saved me from the dizziness of blowing up air pads, pillows, etc., and this version comes even with a ambient light. The weight is comparable to the pumping sack but way easier to inflate now. This little device is really useful! We took it on vacation with a couple large inner tunes in our suitcases. It took no time to inflate a tube. I took off one star because the battery only lasted for one tube then needed to charge again (uses a normal USB charger) but not a huge deal breaker. I almost think the best feature is that it works in reverse and sucks out all the air as well! The deflating part always sucks with floaties! This was so fast and bonus that you don't have to hold the device onto your tube while it works. We'll worth the small amount of money I paid!! ... show more

I was not expecting to be on par of a Dyson for shrinking my Vacuum Bags. However, it got the job done. I just wish it held a longer charge and was stronger.
