The Flexpedic mattress topper arrived vacuumed sealed in thick plastic crammed in a smaller cardboard box for shipping. The mattress topper was easily set free from its plastic wrapping with no unpleasant smell, or any damage noticed. The fabric of the pillow topper is really soft and seams to made well with high quality stitching and adequate stuffing. The pillow topper needs to be fluffed and left laying out flat for a couple days to fully expand, as well as possibly throwing in the dryer to fluff for about 20 minutes as the description states. However, as I have completed all the methods to fully "fluff" I was disappointed in the expansion. The mattress topper did not expand to the 4 inches as stated, but it did fluff to where its noticeable when laying on it as it provides additional comfort to an already firm mattress. The "fluff" expansion seems to be thinker in the middle of the topper rather than evenly distributed to the edges. The elastic corner grippers are made well and are thick elastic which hold the topper in place and do a good job with placement. The top benefit in my opinion is the cooling effect that the topper provides when laying on it. Normal toppers seam to trap the body heat in while laying on it all night and this topper provides a cooling effect and allows body heat to dissipate and flow throw, keeping your body cool. This is a very important benefit for me and is why I initially rated this topper with 4 stars instead of 3.

My wife and I recently got a new mattress, it is not as tall as I would have liked so I asked my wife to get a mattress topper, but I don't think I did a good job at explaining what I wanted. My idea was to get like a memory foam or something a little bit tall and a little harder to make the mattress a little taller. Instead, she got this very soft topper and when I saw it I was kind of disappointed as it was not what I wanted. Regardless, she wanted to test it out, so we put it on top of the mattress, got the fitted sheet on and we tried it at night. We haven't had any issues with it getting out of place or anything like that. I have to say that I immediately felt the difference when we went to sleep. It made the bed so much more comfortable; it feels like a fancy hotel bed. I am actually having trouble getting out of bed in the morning as it feels like a warm embrace. Needless to say, we are keeping it and enjoying having it.

Got this mattress topper for one of the beds in my guest room. The bed itself is newish, and hasn't been slept on much but I wanted a really cushy feel for my house guests - and this topper delivers! The topper is thick and gives the mattress a spa retreat type feel. If you're thinking your mattress needs replacing, try this topper first, it may just need a bit of a refresh. This topper on an older mattress can definitely extend the life and buy you some time before you have to dig deep in your pockets for a whole new bed. I highly recommend it.

This is good topper! It doesn't make an extreme difference overall, but you will notice more comfort overall than you had prior to adding it. I like that it's not super oversized, so you can still use your normal bedsheets on top of it. It has elastic bands on the corners which secure the topper to your mattress, and they don't move. Overall, I would absolutely recommend giving this a try if you're looking for a little extra comfort on top of your mattress.

My two boys share a room and have an old trundle bed with crummy mattresses the bottom bed has poky springs so the always sleep together on the top to be comfortable. I got this mattress topper and it’s now like a whole new bed! Now they fight over who gets to sleep on the bottom bed. It’s easy to put in and feels great! Much better option than buying a new mattress for now!

This topper is a nice quilted, fiber filled style topper, and as the ad says, it is breathable and soft. However, after leaving it out for the recommended time, the topper did not fluff out as tall as the picture in the product page shows. It is definitely plump in some areas, but other areas seem like the fill isn't all there, or perhaps shifted or compressed, leaving some flat spots. The center of the topper seems to have fluffed up the most, whereas the corners seem thinner. I like that it has built in elastic straps on each corner for holding in place. They are a good size and they are far enough back from the corner that they have not slid off the mattress. The fabric on the topper is also a nice feel and it is definitely more breathable than the foam mattress is. It is soft, and it adds more soft comfort to the memory foam mattress on my son's bed. That foam is on the firmer side, and my son has been complaining about it lately. We added this to the top of his bed, and after a few nights, his feedback was "I slept like a baby". Laying on it myself I could tell a difference, it adds just a little bit of cushion to that firm mattress. Even though it doesn't look quite a full as the product page, I think it's still a good mattress topper and improves the feel of the foam mattress, but I would want to pay a little bit less for it given it's lack of reaching the 4 inch advertised height.
