Overall: Powerful impact driver in a compact design with variable torque options and a long-lasting battery. Definitely a great value, and less expensive than any base model impact driver combo from other brands. Pros: -24-volt, brushless motor delivers a lot of power -Includes 2.5 Ah battery, which is a solid entry-level battery -Torque selection button offers more control when driving screws -Solid construction -Compact design fits decently on a belt -LED placement near the bit is more convenient than brands that have a light on the base Cons: -Charger fan is loud -Battery connection pins on base are exposed and look fragile I'm an avid DIYer and hobbyist woodworker, and I've started updating my old line of battery-operated tools, so I decided to give Flex a try. It was an excellent decision. This impact driver is solid. 24-volt power with a brushless motor and a 2.5Ah battery is already more than you'll get from entry-level impact driver combos from any other name brand at this price point. The torque selection options and variable-speed trigger give you significant control over your driving force so you don't strip or over-drive your screws, and it's compact so it's not overly bulky if you need to hang it on a belt. It has already become my new go-to driver, and I'm looking to expand my Flex collection in the future. The only minor issues I have are the charger's fan and the battery connection pins. The fast charger is pretty efficient; it brought my battery from less than 20% to 100% in less than 30 minutes, but the charger has a cooling fan to prevent overheating. This is a nice feature, but the fan is quite loud while the charging is in process, so take that into account when you decide where to store your chargers. Also, the connection pins on the driver are fairly exposed, and they're thin. I don't have any reason to believe they'll break due to exposure, but it seems like if the tool fails, this could be the weak link. Regardless, I'm incredibly happy with the product, and I'm definitely looking to expand my Flex collection as I replace some of my other aging tools. ... show more
