First time purchase for a 3D printer. Super easy to assemble (maybe 15-20 mins). Worked perfectly from first use. Learning curve is pretty easy given the Orcaslicer software is so user friendly. It’s not as loud as I was expecting. I set it up in a different room of the house and don’t hear it at all. For a first time user I would say this is ideal. Once I’m more comfortable with printing and learn how to make my own STL files I’d consider purchasing a higher grade version.

I've had this printer for almost a year now and I have to say I've gotten plenty of use out of it. When it comes to buying products like this, I usually have a gauge of what is TOO LOW of a price point where you start to sacrifice quality. With this printer, that is absolutely not the case. I've put this printer through a lot of different prints and any issues I've had with it, have primarily been operator error. As a new user, I strongly recommend this as a gateway printer. The price is perfect, which allows you more to spend on filament.

THIS 3D PRINTER IS EXCEPTIONAL! the quality of each print continues to blow our little minds.. i will never stop using this thing for pure entertainment lol i don’t mind the noise while watching tv.. its super easy to use and print stuff straight from your phone.. and the most amazing part is the printer, all the different filaments and extra nozzles and whatnots still dont come close to $1k in money spent! its great!

Printer works well with their branded filament, but using a different brand of filament causes it to not want to stick and dispense properly. But, with their online program and their filament, printer works great. Easy to use, good print quality, and relatively quiet for a 3d printer. Good value for the money.

This was purchased in October as a Christmas gift for our 14 year old, so off the bat - we couldn't return it no matter what. I wouldn't play that game again with this machine! Long story short, we have spent months tinkering with and revisiting this machine over and over and over and it can't even complete a test print. Initially I just thought he was a novice and that he would figure it out with perseverance, then I thought my husband and Google and the instructions were inept, and then I felt like an imbecile myself until we finally realized it wasn't us. We even had some 3D printer- crazy friend come try to help and they said it was just a bust and that they actually had the same issue with the same machine starting out - pretty much DOA. Did not recommend this brand but at least they were able to return theirs when they dealt with it. Bummer for our kiddo whose "big" Christmas gift was never realized plus all the wasted time and filament. And bummer for us who have to save up for something better and replace it! If you choose this questionable 3D printer destiny - at least know you'll have sufficient time to test it within the return window.

We wanted to get a 3D printer for our 10 year old for Christmas and didn't know much about them. We spent enough on the little dragons to pay for one. I looked at several different popular models and the differences were very confusing. I wanted something she could use herself, but didn't want her to quickly outgrow it. At a local farmer's market we talked so someone that was selling 3D printed figures and she recommended Flashforge, even though she used older models of two other manufacturers. We got the AD5M and the experience has been excellent. We have printed probably 25 or 30 things, mostly articulating dragons, snakes, etc. that printed in one piece. I didn't even know that was possible. We have had a few hiccups from user error, like I didn't realize there were different types of filament and bought a roll of ABS that promptly made a mess. Start with PLA. But otherwise all good. The only thing that was disappointing is that she has an iPad and you can initiate and manage printing with an iPad, but to my knowledge you can't run the software that allows you to "slice" the model for the printer. That requires a Windows or Mac PC. I will get something we can dedicate to that purpose which she can use for that, but I'm guessing that most of the printers have this limitation. We are extremely happy with the AD5M and it is a great value at holiday discounts.

Prints fast, easy to use and mostly assembled out of the box. I wasn't able to setup with the phone app but works fine with the Windows software and all cutting programs I have used. Auto leveling works and layer adhesion is easy to calibrate. WIFI connectivity is spotty but using ethernet makes it perfect.

This is probably the best 3d printer for 250 with making benchies a bit better then the creality k1c and making prints with better bonding better print quality overall… it is a bit noisy it is versatile and the heating is a bit slow but overall it is super good!
