I put this rug in the entry hallway of my home. As a result, it is the first thing I see upon coming home and the first thing I see when coming down in the morning and the last thing I see before going up to bed at night. I say this to make the point that something that you come upon so often should be attractive and this rug adds to the appearance of the entry hall. It is the successor to many rugs we have had in the entry hall over many years, and it clearly outshines its predecessors. In order to prevent the rug sliding (particularly when our dog uses it as a taking off or stopping point), I put some of the adhesive at some of the edge points of the rug - and it now stays in place. I have a Turkish rug and it's been really hard to find pieces that won't look like they are obviously cheaper than that one, this one blew me away! Such a good quality and thickness, durable , beautiful design! Cannot go wrong with this crazy good quality at that price
