This chair is really great! It's super heavy and seems like it'll last forever. Of course I'm not sure how long the color will stay bright - and it's a bright pretty blue. I always thought Adirondack chairs were a bit awkward, especially with my bad knees, but this is really easy to get in and out of. I do like the cupholder and the fact that it rocks, which just adds to its overall comfort. Assembly was fairly easy and took less than 30 minutes with both of us in no rush, but it would've been really difficult, if not impossible, had it not been two of us putting it together. I've seen various Adirondacks at stores that cost much less, so I'm not sure if this is a really good deal or not. ... show more

I love the color, and the overall quality. It was super easy to install. Using a drill over the provided hand tools is recommended, although I'm sure it could also be done without. Comfortable enough without outdoor cushions added, but, I might still get some down the road. A few edges are a bit rough, and could have used some extra sanding down, not a major issue though. The slide out cup holder is a neat feature, it's novel. But, a permanent one drilled right into the arm might have been just as good. ... show more

The good: The chair itself is great. It's a solid piece of patio furniture that should last a long time. It's comfortable to sit in and I like that it also rocks. The fold out cupholder is a nice and convenient addition. The not so good: The installation instructions are small and not well illustrated. I found them a bit confusing. Also the kit comes with installation tools. The small fixed crescent wrench and the hex wrench are functional, the screwdriver is worthless. It took me about an hour to assemble the chair including reviewing the instructions beforehand. Here are some tips: 1) Make sure you have your own #2 phillips screwdriver for the 4 phillips head screws. 2) I suggest laying out the parts on the ground while looking at the instructions to give you a better sense of where everything goes and how to correctly orientate each piece. 3) Assemble the chair loosely at first so that you have some movement with the legs. It will help you to better align the base rockers (parts H & I) with the predrilled holes for the hex bolts. This will save you from having to go and loosen all the bolts as I did in order to get the rocker rails to align with the holes. After those base rocker rails are fully tightened (including the 4 phillips screws) then go back and finish tightening all the other bolts. 3) Use a small metal tube or a long socket with an extension (which I used) for greater leverage with the hex wrench to finish torquing in the hex bolts on the rocker legs. I have plenty of tools and experience in assembling a variety of things so this wasn't an issue for me, but I can see how some people could get things wrong and have to remove and redo some parts. Other that these issues I think its a great chair and I'm very happy with it so I'm discounting the assembly and giving the finished product 5 stars. ... show more

This heavy-duty poly resin Adirondack rocking chair looks great and will be able to withstand being left outside year-round (unlike wood, which will eventually rot). And the best thing is, it's such good quality that it's nearly indistinguishable from real wood. Assembly was reasonably easy and quick, too. The only confusing bit is that there are no pre-drilled holes for the rear rocker screws. I thought this was a mistake at first, but it actually makes assembly much simpler, since the rockers have to be wedged on tight and there would be too much margin for error if the manufacturer tried to pre-drill the holes. I was able to drive the screws in manually without having to drill holes myself. Loses one star because the very visible screws are a bit cheap looking, but a quibble really. ... show more

We absolutely love this chair. It's the favorite on the patio! It's certainly the prettiest. The blue is gorgeous. It was easy to assemble and is really durable. The material is like a composite decking material. It's heavy but manageable. The rocking feature is awesome! You don't get stuck in it like usual Adirondack chairs! The cup holder is nice to have and helpful that it slides back under the arm when not in use so it isn't always sticking out. I definitely recommend this chair! It's awesome!! ... show more

    • Great Comfortable Chair And Ridiculous Customer Service (in a Positive Way)

This is a really comfortable chair and looks great on the back deck. I am 5'9" tall and find it a great fit. However, if you are closer to 5'0" tall, you might find it a little too tall. There was a piece of hardware missing and, when we contacted customer service to get a replacement part, they sent an entire new chair. The only negative I have is that I wish there was a hook to hold a wine glass or other stemmed glassware. The cup holder works great on regular glassware or disposable cups, though. ... show more

This Adirondack chair is BEAUTIFUL and it was easy to assemble. I only ordered one for my back porch, which faces a lake, because there's already a lot of other seating back there, but now my kids fight over who gets to sit in this awesome "rocking" chair. It also has a brilliant "fold away" cup holder, which is so smart of an addition, and convenient. The instructions to assemble were easy to read, and while it provides an Allen wrench and screwdriver, a drill with appropriate bits made it much easier and faster. The material is very heavy for it being plastic, but it is nice in appearance and design - it is also sturdy but still very comfortable. The color looks fantastic and it will be much easier to clean than a wood chair of similar style and last much longer on the lake porch than wood (plus, no splinters).
