I had a stack of 4x4 cards that I wanted protected and better formatted for displaying. These acrylic frames help solve both of those goals. They are easy to assemble and, once the protective coating is removed, they are very clear and clean. The magnets are not the strongest, so it may slide if not sitting straight up on a flat surface, but it's not a big problem. Also note that the measurement is 4x4 side-to-side, so the magnet will be pressed against the photo if your photo is 4x4. Smaller images may be better suited, although I don't have an issue with the magnet on the card. Overall, these are nice frames that do what I was hoping they would. I would recommend.

I love, love, love these frames. The acrylic is heavy enough that I don't worry that the frame will fall over without a stand. The lack of decorations means that you focus on the picture not the frame. The minimal style fits in with tons of decor! I have already ordered more to use as gifts! Great buy!

would have loved item more if it didn't come with scratches all over the frames. pictures seem to look gloomy once you add the frame to it. on the bright side they are sturdy.

A lovely, distinctive, but unsteady picture frame with real potential This product is perhaps the easiest to use that I've reviewed. It consists of two slabs of clear acrylic with magnets at the four corners. A picture is placed on one slab, and the other slab is placed over it and the magnets snap them together. The magnets are perfectly aligned, and have real clutch power: I doubt they'll come apart on impact. The acrylic polishes easily; it is thick, but the image is clear and undistorted. Positioning photographs is easy enough, and the acrylic has some friction so your photos won't go flying when you lower the upper slab onto them. Using pictures smaller than 8x10 gives a satisfying "floating" effect. An excellent use of these frames is as a substitute for engraved acrylic decorations. You arrange an image and print it on transparent printer paper using a regular ink jet printer. center half of the frame over the sheet and cut off the excess paper. Then put the other half of the frame on and you have a commemorative plaque (see pictures)! As with most clear acrylic products, this frame comes with translucent film covering both sides of both slabs. The film is hard to detect; it looks like the acrylic is just frosted. The film is particularly difficult to remove, it takes considerable fingernail work at the corners. Definitely do not use a metal tool to remove the film: a plastic knife may help. There is one prominent downside of this frame: it is unstable. There is no stand, the frame simply sits on a surface. While the frame is thick, it does not form a steady enough base, and is prone to tip over. On a truly flat surface this is only a problem if one has cats or frequent earthquakes, but on an uneven mantle or windowsill surface the frame will tip easily. I really like this frame. It shows my pictures off to good effect, it fits many different decors (including mine), and it is reasonably priced. If you are careful where you put them, or you can come up with a stand or mounting, they make an excellent home decoration. Even with the stability concerns I will probably buy a few more as soon as I can find stable surfaces for them.
