Realized I needed a set of these when I went to place a uni-body van on my lift for the first time to prevent damaging the pinch-welds. All the others I found online were in the $75-$100 range for a set of four. Used them for the first time yesterday and they worked well. The pads are sent in a sealed plastic bag. When opened, you will be 'hit' with a strong chemical odor. Once you have them aired out in your garage for a while, I expect the odor to diminish. The center channel could be cut a little deeper, but I know that might compromise strength, and allow them to split in half prematurely. Maybe an extra half inch in thickness (1.5in vs 1.0in) would allow for a deeper channel. They do appear durable/strong. (Haven't used yet) Four pads for $20 seems like a good deal to me. I only have two jack stands, so I consider the two extra ones as spares. Since I have not used them with my floor jack (or stands) yet, I am only estimating my ratings for sturdiness and 'ease of use'. ... show more

These do the job in allowing me to jack my car at the designated places (on the weld seams) using my Quick Jack. They are a little on the small side (to me) but work fine. Early days, but seem to be holding up well after multiple uses.

Really! They are very well made. exacting tolerances (way more precise than needed for a block that is going to get squished between a jack and a frame). Excellent durometer, heavy, does the job. I have used several times, they are getting the usual pinches and dents from use which means they are protecting the car. ... show more
