I used the size chart and it recommended an XL, which I ordered. My dog weighs 19 lbs, his back is about 15" and chest about 21. Too loose and his arms end up inside the sleeves when moving around. I do really like the lightweight sweaters though. Beautiful colors and very soft. Thankfully I do have a sewing machine...hopefully can alter to work. I would have returned and gotten a smaller size but he had worn one for a while before I realized there was a problem with the fit. ... show more

Love the fabric and the colors are vibrant. They are the perfect weight for our cool Autumn. I thought I was ordering the right size according to the size chart, but they are generously sized. The medium is just a bit too big for my 14 week old Frenchie. I love these little coats and he will grow into them, so I will keep these, and order 3 more in the small. Even though I have to reorder, I am very happy with this purchase, and I'm glad I have some that he can grow into. I just got my new order in the smaller size and they fit perfectly. I got the shirts and after washing them because they smelled so bad they shrunk. I would recommend to size up and hand wash for over an hour. Would not buy again because they were so stinky... like mold. Yucky

My old lil Maltipoo is an odd shaped girl. She's a bit of a sausage with stick legs. She gets very cold. I've ordered several of these and I'm not sure how it took me so long. They are stretchy and easy to get on. Not too heavy, not too light. She now sits by the shelf where I store them (which is her eye level) and anxiously awaits "getting dressed" in the morning with her few teeth chattering.
