This pedestal mount is perfect for spaces where you can't or don't want to use the TV mounting feet that may be spaced too far apart to fit on a console or cabinet. The typical plastic support feet are a cost saving move for TV manufacturers --they provide the necessary support but require wide spacing. I used this pedestal on a 42" TV a couple years ago and it has been perfect. Recently, I replaced a 55" TV in our bedroom and bought this same pedestal mount again since it's a great design. The support brackets that mount to the TV have a wide variety of adjustments and come supplied with a variety of hardware and spacers to most installations. Pay attention to the size and length of the screws, using the spacers to get the right length, if needed. The glass pedestal is very thick but BE SURE to use the black plastic washers between the metal washer and glass before tightening the two screws against the glass surface and DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. I have read other reviews where people said they damaged or broke the glass and I suspect they overtightened the screws against the glass or left out the washers --this is a certain way to impart stress to the glass that will lead to breakage. Overall, you can't go wrong with this pedestal if you take your time to assemble it correctly. It is a very high quality kit that will accommodate a wide variety of TV sizes, weights, and mounting heights. Great product!

Installation instructions are only picture diagrams.......so 1 or 2 steps can be tricky to understand exactly where the washers go. (especially on the Swivel mount version). Go slow, or watch a Youtube installation video for extra info. Amazon TV already had bolts in the VERSA screw holes, so just un-screw them, install the brackets, & use same screws to tighten back down. Suggestion: If you are by yourself, place a pillow (or 2) in the middle of a bed, & then put the TV screen facing down on top of that. Makes it easier to connect the stand to the back of the TV & you don't have to hold the weight of the TV.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have a 65 inch television on my back porch. This item, it's amazing. I've had it for about 3 years now. I love it and it swivels. It took maybe about 30 minutes to put it together. 2 people
