Was debating to get this unit & was very happy with my purchase. I love the way you can angle it on either side. I have a large monitor that fits perfectly. I did add some shelf liner you can buy at any dollar store, to prevent the monitor base from sliding on the shelf. Or if your monitor already has rubber feet, you will not need any. I don't really know what I expected. It's pretty flimsy material, which I anticipated due to the cheaper price. I was concerned when the wood was already dipping just by holding my monitors, but then my cat came over and tried to stand on it (not even with all of his weight, mind you), and I nearly watched it fold right then and there.
